Attention oily acne prone skin people
This is the BEST MASK for oily, acne & blemish prone skin. I use it 1-2x per week & my skin is flawless. I wish I could find it in store, I would clear the shelves.

REMEMBER TO DO A PATCH TEST BEFORE HAND
I’ve never had an issue with their hair products or their soap, unfortunately when I put this mask on I felt slight burning within 20 seconds of it being on & so I was it off instantly. My face is red from having a reaction to the product and I unfortunately had to chuck it out. I have a funeral in two days so I hope it clears up beforehand. Probably just something that didn’t agree with my skin in the product. I still would buy from the company, just not the mask.

Love using this mask
I loved using this black soap mud mask from Shea Moisture. The mask tightened and cleared the acne causing impurities on my face. It went from blackish grey color to a dry gray color after the 10 minutes . It truly helps clear the skin. My face felt soft and clean after I removed the mask with warm water and a cloth. Just be careful not to get this in your clothes . I am not sure but it may stain light colored clothes .

This mask healed my acne and redness only 2 months of using I’ve always heard black African soap is good especially because of the skincare benefits in it but when I finally tried it didn’t let me down I would use this atleast 2 every 2 weeks the smell is bareable and the texture feels weird but it’s okay

Burns the skin
Bought this from my local target try it twice to give it the benefit of doubt unfortunately this is not a friendly product it does burn and tighten the skin while applying but lowkey i wash it out before it can cause damage to face and skin if you have eczema/sensitive skin and another skin condition i will avoid using this product. This product need to be removed for store aisle/bays and send back to manufacturer vendor for inspection

Mask left irritation and minor burn on my face
I was really looking forward to this since it smelled so nice and the patch test on my arm went fine, but shortly after applying it to my face I felt a hot, burning sensation, wiped the mask off (I had it on for less than five minutes) and my face was red, splotchy, and VERY irritated. Most of the redness faded with a cool compress and aloe but the skin is still pink and tender like a sunburn, and the areas are also breaking out in acne now. Do NOT buy

Burning & Skin
This product is wild. After, applying the mask, skin rather quickly felt hot, which switched to a burning sensation. My partner, both have burned faces. How are you allowed to sell the stuff?

Smells amazing!
Smooth texture. There is a lot of product in the container. It’s smells so good. The only downside is it burns when applied but afterwards your skin feels smooth.

It’s a good moisturizer but there are better ones out there.
The sheamoisturizer is a good moisturizer it helps keep your hair clean, soft and silky and gives it a shine but i think there are better ones out there that will help more.

great product for oily, acne prone skin; caution to dry, very sensitive skin types
I keep seeing reviews claiming this product “only works for darker skin” and that just isn’t the case. Everyone’s skin is different. I wear just about the lightest color foundation from any cosmetic line, and have fairly sensitive skin—Dermatographia, in which even just scrubbing my face with a cotton round will leave it with some redness—and this mask did not irritate my skin at all. This mask contains tea tree oil, willow bark extract, sulfur, and salicylic acid, all used to absorb excess oil and fight surface level blemishes, and all of which are very drying (this is intentional) and may be the source of many skin sensitivities (along with peppermint oil). This mask is best suited to those with oily skin-types, or combination (use only in t-zone) looking to combat clogged pores and breakouts. I have only been using the mask for about 10 days (3 times total) but so far it has been effective in pulling the impurities from my pores. Oftentimes clarifying products will cause a period of “skin purging” as it works to remove excess oil and sebum, so keep in mind that breakouts may appear to worsen when first using this product, but with regular use you will begin to see a difference in the size and frequency of breakouts.

i should have looked at the reviews in depth, irritated my skin so bad it stings and is SUPER red. if you have sensitive skin, this will leave you messed up.
