Our new African Black Soap, Calm & Clearing Body Wash is designed specifically for melanin-rich skin. Infused with African Black Soap, Oats, Aloe, & Vitamin E, this body wash works to soothe and clarify dry, troubled skin, leaving it feeling calm, smooth, and visibly moisturized for 24 hours. Our moisturizing Body Wash is formulated with fair trade Shea Butter. Through our proprietary Shea Emulsion technology, we were able to break down Shea Butter into thousands of droplets that provide even, smooth coverage across the skin. This body wash is 92% naturally derived and free from sulfates, parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, and petrolatum. For best results, use this body wash in combination with other products from SheaMoisture's African Black Soap Collection.

Dried my skin out something serious
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly I was so happy to get this product and I was highly disappointed. It drys your skin out SO bad . I just felt itchy after using which is probably why they sent that coconut oil bar soap with it. It’s very faint in scent and I do love the packaging .

Formula change with new bottle
I’ve used this product for years and loved how moisturizing it was. They reformulated recently when they changed the bottle. Less exfoliating bits and the texture is more viscous and strips oil from your skin like cheap suave body wash products. I think they changed the clear bottle to opaque to hide how different they’ve made the formula. Now my skin is just itchy and dry. Will never be buying this again.

Thick and effective

It ruins your wash clothes by staining them which is why I don’t usually buy anything black soap. I also had a hard time squeezing it out of the bottle. I wouldn’t purchase this again.

Extremely hydrating and removes dead skin
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the use of African black soap and when I’m done using this soap, my skin feels so hydrated and all of my dead skin is so easy to remove. it has a pleasant smell as well. It doesn’t have an overpowering scent. Lastly, There’s a lot of body wash in the bottle especially for the price. I highly recommend.

Good for combination and dry skin
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using a body wash for a while now and to me it's just okay I don't feel like my skin is super moisturized after using it but it does provide a little bit of moisture. I love the packaging it's sleek. However, the top does not open wide enough to get the product out, so I'm having to squeeze, which is not good for people with joint issues. There is no smell, so that's a good thing. The ingredients are clean, and besides African black soap, there are oats and aloe included in the ingredients.

Shea moisture in a body wash
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love this body wash as the lather is out of this world! It smells delicious and the soap itself is dark brown sort of like the Shea butter black soap. It leaves my skin soft and moisturized. The smell is mild nothing to go crazy over but this stuff here is amazing! It lasts long as well, I’ve had it for about a month and it’s just half way full. Perfect for dry skin providing that extra moisture lock-in. I noticed that using this in the morning works better for me than at night not sure why- it just does! Try it and thank me later my fellow reviewers.

Only recommend for those with dry skin
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The body wash has foam and lather action and does indeed feel very hydrating to the skin. I have oily skin so i didn't benefit much from it and after using my skin did not thoroughly clean due to the cleaners priority function being moisture and my skin already produces an excessive amount of sebum on its own. furthurmore after using the product for a few weeks my body had an alergic reaction to the body wash and I developed a lymph node on my left inner thigh. I don't know why this happened but im sharing this to say that i would only reccomened this product to those with dry or normal skin. those with only or acne prone skin I would strongly advice to stay away.
