A: Hello Kim, I have had nothing but good experiences with this particular masque. However, what you may have is a moisture / protein balance issue. I had the same problem and was able to resolve it with a light protein treatment on the ends, followed up with a moisturizing deep conditioner (such as this masque).

I recently saw Hermela use it moisturize and return her blow dried hair back to its naturally curly state. Her hair looked gorgeous. My hair has never looked or felt better. I have long dry straight hair. I’ve been trying to grow it out for the last couple of years after some over bleaching and it’s been so dry and breaking off. I’ve used olaplex and k18 and nothing has done what this has. I wash my hair every three days and use this every wash. My ends are able to stay shiny and moisturized the entire time where they used to look dry and frazzled after a day. My hair is so soft with no tangles and holds my style so I only curl it on day one (sleep in sleepy tie at night). I’ve never been happier or more impressed with a hair product. I use the redken acidic set and follow with this.

This does magic on my dehydrated curls. I leave it on for about 30-45 min when I need an extra burst of hydration but I do sometimes just do a simple 5 minute leave on in the shower too. Works beautifully either way. And I always love how Shea Moisture leaves my hair smelling so great

Great deep conditioner that really works and you can see the difference in your hair literally after one use. It’s great especially if you have low porosity hair. The only thing I would say is that it has a strong smell, so if fragrance isn’t your thing, this might not be for you.

really happy I gave this a chance. I've been using this as a deep conditioner for the last few weeks now, and I can honestly say I've seen a substantial improvement. My hair doesn't feel as dry as it used to and is for sure waaaaay softer. I shampoo and apply this, then comb through and sit under a steam cap. I've also used it as instructed (both ways are great - but I think the steam cap does give it a little more of a penetrative boost, you know). This leaves my hair feeling luscious!! The fragrance isn't overpowering. A little goes a long way (but of course, I don't heed that advice and want to drown my whole head in this) - but you really don't need a lot, even if you have a ton of hair. I have textured chemically processed hair and my hair absorbs everything so I was worried this would leave it weighed down or with that weird sensation that something is still on your strands. so far, it's been wonderful. Will definitely be repurchasing this

I’ve been using this stuff for years now, and I have tried so many different masques and conditioners and nothing compares to this product. I used to have platinum hair and although it went through damage (because all bleach jobs do) it wasn’t compromised as bad at it could have been if I wasn’t using a masque almost every day. And it must have gone viral or something because one day I started noticing that I couldn’t really find it as much as you can now. It’s great because you can use a tiny bit on your ends so you’re not having to have greasy roots on a day where you have to condition but can’t shampoo. But I heard also that they reformulated their product, but I can’t tell a difference. The only difference I see is when I first color my hair it actually keeps the color in as long as you use cold water, until it’s time for a root touch up or it’s time for a trim. All in all, I love this product so much and I hope it becomes a staple product.

I damaged my wavy 2a/2b curls for a long Time using heat styling tools without protectant and by dying my hair a few times and this did miracles for my hair. It leaves my hair feeling soft and my hair dresser says my hair has never been healthier. I hope Shea Moisture brings back this product because it was very helpful. I would definitely only use this on very thick or dry hair, because people with thin hair or straight hair will experience that this weighs down there hair. It is for a specific need.

I adore the smell of this products, however I was told by my hairstylist that this brand is not the best for my hair. Let it be known that I also do not buy into the expensive products that are sold at the salons.
