It lathers well but still feels soft on the scalp. The Kalahari Melon Oil hyaluronic serum combo does help reduce that tight curl recoil after washing. Hair feels: Clean, not squeaky Lightly detangled Prepped for conditioner Less “shrunken” once it dries Downside: If your hair is super low-porosity or heavy-build-up prone, you may need a clarifying wash once in a while.

Shea moisture is horrible on my hair
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve submitted tasks and they always bounce back so this is my final try because these products aren’t worth the effort not even a little. Shea moisture just always makes my hair feel crunchy and I hate it. I would not buy or use again. I’ve tried the brand in the past using my own money and I used a leave in conditioner but I’m starting to think that for my specific hair that this brand is a huge flop because my hair has hated every single product from shea moisture and I shouldn’t have hard crunchy hair when these products promise softness and moisture.

Rejuvenating colored hair

I was able to easily comb through my hair & I noticed the difference in the shine in my hair. It was very moisturized for a couple of days after I styled my hair, and my hair smelled really great for days. All of the products came in a beautiful PR package with African American representation.

Itch Relief and long lasting scent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took me a while to review these products because I went through a hair transition and wanted to give my honest review now that I have locs. Out of all of the products in this line, the spritz, conditioner, styling cream, and shampoo, the shampoo definitely takes the cake. It has a very strong, but pleasant scent that you’ll be able to smell for a few days after freshly washing hair. This product also didn’t cause any scalp itchiness or build up. I know you’re typically not supposed to detangle your hair in the shampoo phase, but the slip and lathering was perfect for the first detangling. The best part about this shampoo was the fact that the ingredients and scent did not make my scalp itchiness AT ALL after washing. Many shampoos cause that initial 2 or 3 days of torture with itchiness and I noticed a big difference when comparing this Curl Stretch Shampoo to my other staples in the closet. I’d buy this one again simply due to that! Overall, I really wanted to love this line more than I did. I do however love the scent. It’s fruity like watermelon but with savory notes and my partner absolutely loves it. The shampoo was the only product I’d continuously buy.
