A: If you're using this as a pre shampoo treatment, we'd suggest saturating your hair with water, apply the product from roots to ends, focusing on damaged ends. Then, leave it on for 10-15 minutes before rinsing and completing your regular wash routine. The protein treatment can also be used in place of a conditioner, applying after shampoo from roots to ends and leaving on for 10-15 minutes, before rinsing and styling.

Works great but very heavy
I really like shea moisture products and this was great for my hair. It is very heavy, which is why I put 4 stars - make sure not to use too much bc a little goes a long way. It works well but can make hair a little weighed down/greasy

SOFTER HAIR
I don't know where my hair would be without using this as my deep conditioner. I use this every two weeks for the past 2-3 months as a staple and I have noticed a complete 360. This is definitely hydrating for my hair and made my hair softer without having to use extra products. I love that it is a moisturizing protein treatment that way my hair is getting both benefits at the same without having to switch. This brought its A game to my hair.

I love it. The waxes that were added are not bad for my hair so I'm okay with that. I use it once a month and my hair is healthy and strong. 5-15 minutes is enough time for this mask to work.

This literally is such a good product!!!!! (For context I’m a white girl with fine hair thats wavy 2b/2c) and this product alone makes my hair so soft!!!! I live in a high humidity state too and it helps so much with frizz and gives me shine as well!!!! This product is such a game changer and my hair genuinely loves it!!!! Pls don’t get rid of it or replace it I beg!!!!

Incredible protein treatment
This protein treatment works wonders with my hair. I have fine 3a/2c wavy curly hair and I use this to bring back life and spring to my curls. Especially after color or chemical processing, this product is a lifesaver. Also, I see people complain about the smell but I rather like it! I sometimes also mix this in with my conditioner for more slip to the product and then spread it out.

I have very fine hair and while this didn’t weigh my hair down, it didn’t really hydrate it much either. I know this is more of a protein treatment, but I didn’t really see any strengthening properties either.

It’s a great product if you need a hydrating protein treatment. Doesn’t have a strong scent, and is helpful with forming curls. The one downside is how this product is stored in a tub. I prefer products in a pump.

A little goes a long way
I would pay for conditioning treatments under a dryer at the salon, as a “treat” for my hair. When the $$ became to be too much I looked into how to do it myself. I found this company’s products, purchased a portable dryer w/cap and haven’t looked back. This Shea Moisture formula was not the original one I started out with but it’s a good stand in. My hair is stronger, shinier and yes, fuller. The results last about two weeks as I don’t wash my hair everyday.
