I have very dry, coarse, thick hair. This is the moisture my hair needs. BUT I use a completely different shampoo product to cleanse roots/ scalp. This product is too heavy for that area. I only use this shampoo/ conditioner duo on the bottom 3/4s of my hair. I love how it makes my hair feel. It doesn’t bother me that there’s not much of a fragrance. The moisture is worth it.

I have tick straight hair and I need to use 8 pumps of this conditioner, and this isn't cheap! It de tangles ok but I noticed my hair feels flat and greasy afterwards. There are better silicone free conditioners out there.

Product left a greasy shine which made it look like I didn’t wash my hair. Would also weigh down hair despite being sold as “lightweight.” Do not use for co-washing as it makes hair too greasy. This product feels more like pure coconut oil/milk rather than a conditioner. The product is a lot more runny than other ordinary conditioners. I’d definitely recommend the SheaMoisture Curl and Shine conditioner instead, regardless if you have curly hair or not, as it doesn’t give a distinct greasy unwashed look. Would only recommend for shampoo days for hydration.

I have straight hair and I was excited to use this brand and I’ve never had an issue with using shampoo or conditioner but this one made my hair really greasy. After I wash with this, my hair almost feels like wax not even a day later

Let me tell you, this is not for all hair types. I have been using shea moisture for years since I was a kid and I love a lot of the brand's products, but this has to be the worst conditioner I've ever used. I have very thick hair, and a lot of it. I can usually use about 5 or 6 pumps of Herbal Essence conditioners for my hair to get it super smooth and tangle-free, but I had to use at least 10 or 12 of this one and I never got it to be smooth before giving up and washing it out. My hair has been more dry than usual for the past few days since I've been trying this conditioner. I also used it when I had covid and I didn't want to stay in the shower long since I wasn't feeling good and I have low blood pressure. I'm a runner and a have a clean diet, so I'm a pretty fit and healthy person, but it took me so long to get this through my hair that day and so much strength to work the tangles out that I felt like I was going to black out in the shower since I was sick. This doesn't function at all as a conditioner for my hair type and I'm very disappointed.

I used this for the first time, I look in the mirror after towel drying my hair and my hair was literally SMOKING. It was like a candle had just went out in my hair. After that my scalp and head was hot it started to burnnnn. This happened to everyone in my house who used it.

This conditioner SUCKS! Like many other reviewers, I noticed it left a thick, oily white residue in my hair that was still noticeable for WEEKS after I've stopped using it. At first, it appears to wash out easily, but once your hair dries you'll notice it left a dense tar-like buildup that is nearly impossible to wash out. It deserves negative stars. And if you're black like me and intend on using this as a slip, then look elsewhere because it doesn't even help with that. Also, on a side note, the labeling is awful. Shea Moisture should be clearer on which of their products are vegan.

For my fine, long, thick wavy hair this is a no go. I tried so hard to love it because Shea Moisture has some amazing products, and I’m love the clean ingredients. However, I can not use this conditioner my hair becomes extremely dry and my scalp gets oil right after I get out of the shower. It looks like others with courser hair find this product of better use.
