ShedRain JUMBO Auto Open Auto Close Compact Umbrella

not worth the money at all. you'll have better luck thrifting one. this one ended up being trashed after a few uses because the handle broke. so disappointing.

Broke after 6 months of light use.

Delightfully large and sleek umbrella that fits beautifully in my handbag. It garners all compliments, especially from the men whenever I open it. If only they knew its secret. If only I could time it to my needs. Unbeknownst is the hour, but guaranteed is the day when the slightest touch to open it, will activate its special feature. I was speechless and bruised. The dog was not impressed. I had to have another. Target made it right. I am here because I was less impressed that my replacement almost caused me an insurance claim. Funny enough I was leaving target two days ago while it was raining. Pressed the button to open it and it exploded at the base. The rest of the umbrella flew off like an arrow and almost (too close for either of our comfort) hit a gentleman walking by. He witnessed it explode and the force that it came towards him with. Since this was the second time this happened, I was just thankful it didn’t hit him. This umbrella has been babied in hopes that it wouldn’t get damaged and fall apart like the first. It’s going to explode no matter what apparently. At cost, these should be discontinued.

I’m shocked at how crappy this umbrella was. I bought one and the handle literally broke while opening it after using it about 4 times. Thought maybe it was a faulty one so I bought another one. During my clinical day in school, it opened up inside out first time I ever used it. A waste of money.

The handle broke off on the second use

The spokes that connect and allow it to fold separated quickly. 3 of them separated in exactly the same place. I was not rought with it and it broke after the second use. Was able to repair it with a paper clip to rejoin but really should not be happening after the second use. DO NOT BUY. normally a good brand but this one was not good.

Absolutely love this umbrella! Use it for work so it's small enough to fit in my tote bag & the push button to expend/retract was a nice surprise!

Exploding umbrella hurt my hand - 2 weeks old

I've been using this for 6 months and the first real wind that turned it inside out broke it and it no longer works. I submitted the break in warranty. This doesn't hold up well I'm going to get a better one.

If I’m going by to have an umbrella, I have a very specific set of desired features. I want single button opening AND closing. I want a generous carry loop. I want a huge canopy. I want it to not blow inside-out. And I’d really like a cute color rather than black. Shedrain had everything I want PLUS vents in the canopy. It even has a very smooth ergonomically designed grip. For me, there’s absolutely nothing not to like.

The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t come with anything to slide it into, when not in use - no sleeve or case or anything. For $22+ it should have. The umbrella itself is perfect, though.

Broken within a year

I like this umbrella enough to buy it twice so, yes I recommend it. However, it sometimes is a pain to close, especially once it's all wet and you just want to get in from the humid sticky muck rain. You want that umbrella to closelike in 0.2 seconds with no hassle or needing two hands. I'm just pointing this out. Otherwise, it's nice. I love the size of the umbrella overhead. Yet it is compact when closed. So glad they put a loop string on the end. You need to put umbrellas somewhere to dry! I love the lime green. If you read this far, yes get this umbrella. Overall you will like it. I was nitpicking as suggestions for improvement.

This is the best umbrella I have ever used! The button on the handle is easy to push, and the umbrella pops up and down super smooth and quickly. The flaps help so much with the wind - I even held the umbrella sideways and the flaps prevented the umbrella from flipping. The size is big enough for me and my two kids to huddle under, and yet it is light enough to carry without your arm going tired.

The size of this was much larger than expected! Nice grip handle auto open and close with button. Folds down to a nice size that won't take up too much room in a carry bag or your car. So impressed with the quality and size.

Great umbrella for adults. Enough coverage for two adults. The fabric holds up pretty well during hard and windy rains. Easy to shake off water and dries fast. The one click to open and close is very intuitive.
