Q: Can someone sitting next to you hear what you’re listening to? Wondering if they are appropriate for a plane.

submitted by LB - 7 months ago
  • A: Hi there- Shokz here! Someone sitting immediately next to you on a plane might be able to hear faint audio from Shokz OpenRun headphones, but generally, only if the volume is high (over 75%) or if the cabin is very quiet. However, at moderate volume levels—which is typical for most users—the sound leakage is minimal, and others likely will not hear your music or calls. Please reach out if you have any other questions. Thank you!

Q: How does this model compare with the shokz 2

submitted by targetfan - 3 months ago
  • A: Hi there- Shokz here! The OpenRun Pro 2 uses DualPitch technology (bone + air conduction) for much better bass and richer audio, while the OpenRun focuses solely on bone conduction. The OpenRun Pro 2 has a longer battery life (up to 12 hours) and uses USB-C, while the OpenRun uses a proprietary magnetic cable. The OpenRun is more rugged with an IP67 rating (can handle heavy sweat/rain) compared to the OpenRun Pro 2's IP55 rating. Please reach out to our Customer Happiness Team if you have any other questions. Thank you!

    Only one downside

I have been using these for a little over a week now, and I have to say that the only real downside for me is that you have to turn it up loud enough that you struggle to hear others when in a loud environment. And, even that's not that bad. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

    Awesome running headphones

Awesome product. Great sound while I run, while still being able to hear the world around me, and they don't move at all. Super light and super comfortable. They feel well designed, and built to last.

Good for environment listening but not for music

I knew that it probably wont sound like other in-ear headphones, but this is just disappointing. . no bass, really dry sound, like old radio. Well. .

    First pair openrun

Bought these for hiking and trail running. Wasn't sure what to expect but seemed these are the best out there. I really enjoy them for podcast and audio books. Unfortunately the music is a bit lacking imo. Maybe the open run pro 2 are better with music but for the price increase I wasn't interested. I'm satisfied with the first run and expect these to last a few years providing great podcast and audio book entrainment while on the trails!
