Signature 16" Commuter Backpack - Open Story™

Made very nicely. Feels durable. Has a decent amount of room for what I needed it for. I'm able to bring it on the plane without paying for a carry-on, and it fits under the seat in front of me fine.

This is a really nice backpack but unfortunately too big for me. The pictures of the black on the model make it look smaller than it is. The measurements are accurate, in fact, it measures smaller, closer to 15”x11”x5”. I’m on the smaller side I guess at 5’5 and this covers my entire back, neck to butt, which makes it very hot. Walking in NYC summer, I start sweating immediately, I wish it had a cotton or mesh pad on the back for airflow. The handle also sticks up and hits the back of my head. Pros are, it’s very padded, both the inside and the straps, and SO comfortable to wear, it feels like I’m wearing nothing even with my laptop, charger, makeup bag, water bottle, etc. Please please make this in a smaller size and maybe different material/padding and I would buy it. It’s so difficult to find a small, padded laptop backpack!

I bought this bag exactly 2 years ago and cannot believe how durable it is! I originally got it for school but travel a lot with it too. I cleaned it with a little laundry detergent and water in my bathtub, then let it dry outside during the night and it still looks fresh. It’s comfortable and the different handles and many pockets make it my go-to for trips and anything school. (not sponsored)

The gold zippers really elevate the look of this backpack. I have the light color and it is very attractive. It is a great work bag as well as a great personal item for air travel. It fits easily under the plane seat, has protection for laptop or tablet, and has handy pockets & zippers. I love the trolley sleeve for securing it atop a rolling suitcase. The only reasons for 4 stars instead of 5 are: It's a bit expensive for what it is, and I wish it had an exterior zip pocket on the back side (the part that would be up against your back when wearing it) for better security for items like passport, wallet, etc.

Love this backpack, I’m not a huge fan of backpacks but we were traveling internationally and I wanted something that I could easily carry on the plane and on our trip. Comfy and had tons of storage spots and it hooks on my suitcase on the back

I love this backpack. I’ve had the black one for about a year and a half. It goes back and forth to work every day with me. It also served me well on a trip to London. It does not scream “American tourist” when you’re navigating Heathrow or the Tube. It is also still in perfect condition and not a thread has come undone. Would definitely recommend.

Great bag for travel, especially if you’re flying. Made my trip a breeze since everything was so accessible and had designated pockets to fit my iPad and 15” laptop. The trolly pass through strap was a game changer making it easy to slide it into my carry on handle and keep all my stuff together.

Received this for Christmas over a year ago and still holding up with heavy use! Very sturdy and practical and I love it very much. I have it in the light grey so it does attract a little dirt. Will purchase in black!

This is perfect for travel. I used this when I went to Spain and Portugal, and it stored my daily essentials and souvenirs. It’s pretty structured too, so it didn’t drag down my shoulders. I also go in and out of the hospital often, so it’s perfect for carrying my personal care, papers, laptop, and changes of clothes. I got it for a good deal, too.

Great for travel and everyday! Fit perfectly under the seat on the airplane. Was roomy and easy to get to everything I packed in it. I loved all the pockets on the inside it fit nicely on top of my carryon. Can’t recommend it enough!

I already had one for myself to use as carry on for plane. Ordered another one for my husband. Plenty of room inside for iPad and items needed when traveling. Compartments inside easy access and zippered pockets for items to be kept extra safe. Nice handles to carry or wear as backpack. Material durable and easy to keep clean. Also has strap on back to slide over suitcase handle which is a plus in my book. Great bag!

Good quality which is rare to find these days. Lots of good padding and it’s heavy duty. It can fit a laptop slightly bigger than 15 inches. The drink holder is super tight/small and Im not able to fit any of my water bottles in it which is a dealbreaker for me as I planned to utilize the drink holder to be as hand free as possible. Otherwise it’s a solid option. I think it’s pricey. $40 would be more of a fair price.
