Garbage. holes at the bottom make it impossible to fill up

I have two of the ice cube trays with lids (sold by Target) with the longer cubes for water bottles and I enjoy using those for coffee ice cubes in the summer. BUT, this tray has the potential to replace those. For one, because the mold shapes pop back into place after the ice cube pops out, for another, they give slightly more surface area than the longer ones, plus they fill the glass more evenly. So your drink is cooled down quicker with these because they're closer to crushed ice, kinda-sorta. At present, for ice water in the summer, I use the standard sized ice cubes, and these are BETTER than those, because the standard size can hit you in the face when you're trying to drink down to the bottom of the glass, plus, as I said, there is more surface area with these spheres, and so it cools the beverage quicker. Better ice cubes all around for general purposes, as far as I'm concerned! That said, to fill it, all you do is fill the tray, which is the piece with the rims and without the pull tab. Fill the tray to the rim, then push the lid on top, trying to push the water to the inside of the dome shapes. You won't be able to make all perfect spheres, but it will still work out. If for any reason, including expansion from freezing, you need the air inside the domes to escape, there are little holes up there just for that. You can't go wrong with it. I don't think the design could be improved at all. The whole thing is made of silicone, with metal in the rim of the bottom tray, and it's super easy to just give a little twist of the tray to release the spheres. Getting the lid off is not easy, though, and it's similar to, but more difficult than peeling an orange. Doable, though, and if you wanted to, you could let it thaw for a bit to make it easier to remove the lid. I really like it and I'm getting more! My strong brewed coffee never stained the other tray for water bottle ice cubes, and so I don't think it will stain this one either. Having used this tray once, I'm planning on using it as my go-to for my "everyday" ice needs (I probably need to get extra for my guests, too). I recommend this to everyone!

No directions - also, the silicone flexible top makes it incredibly difficult for water to eject from the holes in the top. Mostly slips out the side and makes half circle ice cubes. Waste of $ and plastic!!!

I had to look at the other reviews to figure out exactly where and how much to fill it. Once I read the reviews, I was able to figure it out. I love that it is made of a durable silicone and that it has a lid. It made very fun spherical ice cubes. I may use it as a way to freeze baby purées in a few months when the time comes for that milestone. I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This spherical ice mold does exactly what it is meant to do, make spheres of ice. The ice mold was bigger than I thought it would be from looking at the photos so I’m including pictures for reference. Some of the spheres will stick together trying to take them out of the mold, but they come apart easily. You can use them for cocktails, but I think I’d rather have one large sphere ice cube if I was making an old fashion. I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the look of ice cube balls so wanted to use this to get fancy while making cocktails and mocktails. It does not come with instructions on you, and you would think it would be pretty straightforward since it’s just ice cubes… But I really wasn’t sure how to fill this. I ended up just filling the bottom tray as full as I could, and tapping with the lid that has tiny little holes in itonce frozen. It was a bit difficult to peel the top layer off, but once I did most of the balls were a success. There are a few that have a small indent in the top, but I’m OK with that! The silicone is a durable, thick material and the frozen goods come out of it very easily. I have been using it to make and freeze my bone broth so I can just pop one in my mouth in the morning. It’s also a very pretty gray colour and matches the size of all the other ice boxes of this company so that you can stack them up in the freezer and they take less space. You fill the bottom tray with water all the way to the top and then press the lid on to make the spheres. Be aware that any excess water may come out of the tiny holes! After freezing, the cubes pop right out. This is a sturdy feeling tray that is also dishwasher safe so cleanup is a breeze. It's a neutral gray color that fits in with any kitchen. Wish this tray came with a sentence or two of instruction. In playing around with it, when you fill the bottom near full (so it fills all the half spheres and then some), pressing the lid on pushes the extra water into the top of the sphere to make it whole! Be careful; excess water might shoot out the small holes in the lid or out the sides. Takes some getting used to but still makes the cutest spherical cubes! :) Great, easy to clean, durable-feeling tray for this price!!

Love the cubes. It’s so interesting how it works. Fill the bottom with water (I used filtered), then press in the top piece, freeze, then easily pop out the perfect sized round cubes. This ice tray is a super deal The cubes chill the drink right away.

This is super easy to use and can be washed in the dishwasher! I was worried about them being flimsy but it was great!!
