Used to taste great but something has happened.
I've been drinking Silk soy milk for 30 years and it's always been so good, but here lately it's terrible. It's flavor is bad and the texture is rough.

Love this stuff!!!
I love this product. However I can’t find it anymore. What happened? I’ve tried different brands but they are not remotely comparable.

New watery formula
I have been drinking the Organic Unsweetened Soy in my coffee for years, it appears the formula has changed as it is watery and doesn’t froth like it did. Very disappointing. Will be finding a replacement:(

The active component of Vitamin B12 is derived via microbial fermentation. The other components in the ingredient render the final ingredient synthetic. Your questions help us understand what matters most to our Silk® fans. Thanks! -Deja at Silk

Great nutrition, but the foam is gone😥
i rate this product as excellent because of its overall nutritional benefits, beyond most other soy milk brands. That being said, I am greatly disappointed that the change in recipe has resulted in a milk that no longer froths. Can you make it both nutritious and frothy again, please?
1 reply from Danone team - 8 days ago
Many consumers, such as you, have had a great outcome when it comes to frothing; others may not have the same outcome. After extensive research, we can conclude that frothing isn’t something we produce the product to do. Because there are so many variables when it comes to frothing, we can’t guarantee the product will froth with every batch produced. Our apologies for any inconvenience and thank you for the review. - Jack at Silk

Thumbs down on 2026 organic unsweet recipe change
So sad that you changed the recipe. I had found my perfect non dairy milk that had good taste and froth without using oils. Now it's gross and doesn't froth and I'm looking for a new brand. I'll be back if the original recipe comes back.

Dairy free
I love the vanilla flavor and it’s a great dairy free alternative instead of milk. Try it to make a smoothie or enjoy with cookies or in cereal and it even taste great alone.

Been drinking this for years and now it tastes weird and chalky. Not at all sweet with a weird aftertaste.

IYKYK The best milk of all time
I’ve been purchasing Silk unsweetened soy milk for years and grew up on the classic red one. Only feel the need to leave a review because I never want to see this discontinued. I love the consistency (almond and coconut are thin) and how it doesn’t mess with my stomach (like oat and dairy). I use it in my coffee/matcha, oatmeal/cereal, smoothies/shakes and more. Just as satisfying with cookies as dairy milk. I love the short ingredient list and nutritional value/vitamins. You can’t beat the price for the quality. Lastly, I love that it doesn’t spoil as quickly as dairy milk, so I never waste. My one qualm is that the cap often leaks since soy milk requires a good shaking before pouring for ideal consistency. But if the only way to fix that issue is using more plastic then I don’t think it’s worth changing.

New Formula Really Disappointing
I’ve bought this for many years and loved it, but whatever has been done to the formula recently has completely ruined it for me. It has a different unpleasant and chalky taste, slightly greenish color tint, thinner consistency, and doesn’t produce a luscious creamy froth like it used to. I just bought a new one yesterday after not buying for a while, hoping it was a temporary manufacturing issue that had been corrected. Sadly it was the same. The shelf stable version has not been affected (yet) but is almost twice as expensive per ounce and I go through the small container too quickly. I hope you will bring back the original formula, but if not I will sadly need to switch to another brand.

Favorite soy milk
Silk’s Vanilla Soy Milk is our go to choice for cereal and baking. It’s not overly sweet and has a decent amount of vanilla added. We also like it in coffee when we’re out of creamer. Also, the consistency is solid — not too watery at all.

Solid milk substitute
Silk’s Original Soy Milk is a solid substitute for those who can’t or shouldn’t have dairy. Unlike almond milk, this soy milk doesn’t feel watered down or bland. It’s great to cook with or in cereal.

Extra protein unnecessary
Adding more protein is really not necessary especially if it wrecks the taste. Soy is fine on it's own. Westbend Soy milk is less convenient for me buy, but it is still just soy and tasty.

Where’s the vanilla?
I have been a dedicated consumer for many years. The new product in the new packaging is not the product I love. I taste absolutely no vanilla, no difference from your regular soy milk. Not surprisingly vanilla is not even listed as an ingredient so that’s what you call a hint of vanilla? I know vanilla is expensive and this doesn’t have taste of vanilla. Foul!

Bummer
Very disappointed with the changes. It’s watery now and tastes different. Another formula change that didn’t have to happen. Too bad. Maybe it’s a cost issue but I have to find a new soy drink.
