Q: Has this been reformulated? The new bottle (green leaves) ingredients do not match with my previous bottles (green circle)- lower amounts of beneficial ingredients?
submitted by Niteshades - 4 years ago
A: Yes, unfortunately, the beneficial ingredients are now lower in the list, and the plant antioxidant is now LAST (chamomilla recutita (matricaria) flower extract) instead of higher up. So bummed, as this was my go-to as a cleanser and also beneficial leave on. I switched to CeraVe, which has ceramides and niacinamide higher in the list.

Q: Is there an expiration or "use by" date for Simple Micellar Cleanser? I just found an opened bottle that got shuttled to the back of a linen closet shelf, but there's no info about dates.
submitted by balooga - 4 months ago
A: Hi there - all products will have a production code printed on the back or bottom of each container such as: MMDDY/Plant code using a 2-digit month, 2-digit day, and last digit of the year (Ex. 04270PP01 = April 27, 2020). Please note this is the date of production, and not an expiration date. Generally, our products have a shelf life of three years from this date when stored at room temperature. We hope this info is helpful!

Q: I just purchased this product. I have to say at this time I am not a fan so maybe I am not using it correctly. Do you also use a face soap with this or do you just use a cotton ball and cleanse the face with this?
submitted by barb - 4 years ago
A: That is a great question! Our Simple Unscented Micellar Cleansing Water is our most advanced facial cleanser to date, yet it is gentle on even the most sensitive skin. We recommend following the directions listed on the product by appling a generous amount of product to a cotton pad. The wipe the cotton pad all around the face. Gently wipe around closed eyes, avoid getting into your eyes, no need to rinse after. For any additional support please feel free to contact us at consumer.services@unilever.com. Thanks!
I love this to remove my makeup ! It's the easiest to remove you're makeup plus it's nice for your skin it leaves your skin so smooth and glowing I love it

This is fantastic! It's got a fresh scent and takes away all the makeup and oil/dirt from your face. I use it soaked onto three cotton pads. My skin is combination and gets so oily. It surprises me to see what comes off even when i haven't worn makeup that day. I like this better than the Garnier version.

I love this micellar because it makes my skin feel nice and fresh. It doesn’t leave any weird film on my skin either. It seems good for sensitive skin as well.

This product gets just an ok from me. I didn’t feel like it really did a very good job of removing makeup and cleansing my skin. Felt like I needed to follow up with a soap

I use this instead of cleanser and it makes my skin feel so fresh. This is a great product for sensitive skin! I’ve found that other brands make my skin break out, but this one doesn’t!

I like to use this after I’ve already used a makeup wipe to remove foundation. I use a cotton pad to remove mascara and it is not too harsh on the eyes.

I've used this product for years and loved it, but my last bottle something had changed. I noticed my skin started to burn less than a minute after using it, and when I looked in the mirror I saw that I was already breaking out in a rash from it. I don't know what they did different, but I had to throw out the whole bottle. No more.

I’m so disappointed after using simple for many years to find the formula for the micellar water is completely changed. The liquid is not clear and looks dirty and the feel of the product on the skin is not refreshing at all. Now I need to find a new micellar water and need to check my other simple products when I buy new ones to see if they are different Why would you change a product meant for sensitive skin so dramatically?

Horrible reformulation!

I'm so upset with the reformulation. It burned my skin so badly and was so painful. Skin was inflamed for hours after using. @Simple- why would you reformulate a wonderful and trusted product for sensitive skin and add a bunch of new chemicals without disclosing that? I now have tiny visible blood vessels that I can see under my skin from using this new product, it has ruined my skin in a very short amount of time. Will never buy again unless you bring back the old formulation. This product is no longer kind or gentle, it's full of harsh chemicals. You should at least change your label and warn people of what you've done, and remove the part that says "kind to skin." So very disappointed in your company for this move.
