Q: Why have the Simply Ruffles Reduced Fat chips been replaced with a "non reduced fat" version in an identical bag? The shelf & online description still says reduced fat, but the actual item now is not reduced fat.

A: I also submitted a review on this but for some reason it was not posted. I have had this same issue in the last two months, ordered 3 bags on different occasions and they keep sending me the non-reduced fat chips. Doesn't makes sense to sell two different versions of the chips in IDENTICAL BAGS. I'm very disappointed in the switch that they pulled as it is very hard to find a reduced fat chip in the stores and Simply Ruffles was definitely a great tasting low fat chip (or maybe it was never low fat and being marketed incorrectly...?)

However, I've been looking for Ruffles Baked Original for 2 months now, called Lays several times and they swear they are not discontinued, however you cannot find them on any platform. Now, I'm looking for an alternative, so I wanted to try the Simply Ruffles reduced fat, so I ordered them, the came as the regular full fat, I called Target, they shipped another shipment with same result, then ordered online from local store and got same result, so I did call Target. I can't help but think it's Lay's, not Target. I did try the Ruffles, with fat, they are horrible, don't know what Lay's is doing, they will not admit that there is a problem when I have asked 4 times now in an 8 week period.

Q: If I didn't see the 2 questions above, I would never have known these were no longer a reduced-fat version. The bags are identical, minus the "reduced fat" on the bag.

Q: Are these chips showing expeller pressed oil on the ingredients label? It looks as if Lays has used the Lays Simply bag, but is now using the same unhealthy oils as the other Lays bags.

Impossible to find for sale
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great, and my stomach likes them. All others have CANOLA, and my stomach can't process that. But now, no one is carrying Simply Ruffles, and every single potato chip says it may contain one of the following oils. Canola is always listed, and we know that's what they mostly use.

If its out of stock don't bother ordering it.
I really like this product, but from now on if I can’t get it in the store I’m not wasting my time waiting for it to be delivered. Free shipping is just not worth the aggravation of waiting for it and then having to throw it away because of careless delivery. If you hate your job that much go do something else. The driver didn’t even bother to take a picture of the box as proof of delivery and I know why! Not the first time this has happened, but definitely the last time. I’ll just shop at another store.
