    Best Foundation for Older Skin

I'm 48 and my skin has dry patches and fine lines so foundation highlights my aging skin and skin tints melt away in minutes. This is the only thing I've used that covers blemishes, shadows, and perfects my skin without looking like I'm wearing foundation. I'm so scared it will be discontinued some day. Shades are a little hit or miss and I find in the summer I can add a couple of bronzing drops to my winter shade and it's perfect.

I love this product. It's light weight. It has a natural glow. You can wear it alone. I top it with a pressed powder foundation. I like that it has SPF coverage in it. It works good for my oily/combo skin. You just need to set it well with a good pressed powder.

    PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF

okay. if there is any review you listen to let it be this one. the product is ungodly hard to squeeze out of the package. it dries INSTANTLY and flakes everywhere. It is streaky and DRYING. the shades ranges are all tones of YELLOW. WHO WANTS THAT.

One of the best light weight foundations

I've sold this to OLDER women and it looks phenomenal. I did their skin prep correctly, the ones that says it accentuates lines and texture it does NOT. I have textured skin from acne scars. The GOLD, extracts, and oils make your skin bright and smooth.

    Sad face

I love Smashbox. I use their Superfan mascara, the photo blur primer, would buy the photo finish setting spray again and again but I guess it's been discontinued. I used the Halo foundation and it matched perfectly but within two hours I started to get little red pimples which turned to whiteheads and I don't break out unless it's that time of the month. I had little zits in places I have never had them too. I will be returning tomorrow. If it didn't cause a breakout I would definitely keep.

A total gem, especially for pale olive skin.

I'm a pale olive complexion so I have been on the hunt to try to find a tinted moisturizer that has an SPF that is actually my color. This one is absolutely it! However, you have to work with it. Try it with different types of moisturizers underneath and I recommend letting it sit for a few minutes before doing any other make up after you put it on. And it's one of the few products that looks better throughout the day as you wear it which I'm extremely surprised to say because that's not usually the case. It does not oxidize to another weird color or turn orange. I'm going to cry if they discontinue this.

Best tinted moisturizer ive ever used!

So I got this product in some type of Ipsy box or a sample trial size and never had really used it until recently when I got tired of my foundations being cakey and not looking natural & with it being summer looking for something light. . I’m usually a full coverage girly but honestly i wish I wouldn’t have waited so long to use it. I love this stuff. It gives you the perfect base that blends in well( I use my hands and then go in with a damp beauty blender) This gives me the perfect glow with light/medium coverage(I only have a couple breakouts usually in my jaw line which is what I like to cover), I use my concealer & then contour/bronze and it blends together so good that I don’t mind not having full coverage. The price was holding me back cause of it being $20 for the 0.4 fl oz but I think it’s worst the purchase, a little goes a long way and lasts me a good bit!

    Separates and creases

I've tried this by itself and it gets cakey and separates every time looking at the ingredients it is water based yet still has silicone which is basically like mixing oil and vinegar

    Beware: chemical sunscreen

Nowhere in the title does it state SPF or sunscreen. It’s buried part way down the ‘highlights’ section where it’s really easy to miss. The listing does not indicate the type of sunscreen and provides no ingredients and no drug facts. Had I known it contained octinoxate, I’d never have purchased it. Other than that, it’s lightweight and the color seems about right (got medium light for my neutral/olive tone). It reaches a completely dry finish quickly but stays a bit dewy looking. I used it without primer to see how my pores would look and found that while it does not blur them, it also does not emphasize them which is really all I ask. If they’d drop the chemical sunscreen and or offer a non-spf version, I’d buy this product.

    Good tinted moisturizer

This is definitely one of the better ones. It goes on smooth and doesn't feel cakey. It's not drying like most tinted moisturizers. It has more of a matte finish, I prefer a little shimmer (like the Bare Minerals tinted moisturizer). This one doesn't last all day but is still a good tinted moisturizer with SPF 25. A little pricey for the size so I would only buy it with a coupon.

    Not a fan

I have normal to dry at time skin… I have tried every method to apply this and nothing works. It's blotchy and accentuates any dry areas. Save your money if you have skin like me.

    Had potential but fell short…

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This product claims to be a "Primer-infused for all-day wear & a healthy glow, this SPF tinted moisturizer gives you lightweight, natural-looking dewy coverage that hydrates skin for up to 24 hours. Smashbox Halo Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturizer is a breathable, oil-free formula that primes & perfects in one easy step. I didn't notice a scent. The packaging is pretty standard compared to other all in one tinted moisturizer with SPF. I received the color fair, which was a little yellow for my skin tone. I swatched it on my cheek, it wasn't quite so yellow once blended into my skin, but if you look closely at the photos after blending, it did not apply smoothly and enhanced my pores and facial jaw lines. Almost immediately. This was a bit of a bummer because I had been looking forward to trying this product because I like multifunctional makeup. It also contains talc, which from what I understand is a debated topic currently. I tried to avoid talc containing products because if there's a chance of mesothelioma, I just don't want to take any unnecessary risks when there are similar products on the market, talc-free. I find it a bit suspicious that companies have started swapping l talc for other ingredients like in products like baby powders. So I have heard it is generally not recommended for application to the genital areas as there is some risk. I'd just rather not put an ingredient like that on my face or near my eyes or mouth. I wonder if one day we'll find out it was indeed harmful. In companies I've known this all the time, but took very slow action to remove talk from their newer products. I really wish that companies would be more transparent with things like this. However, these situations have repeatedly occurred throughout history so I decided to inspect my makeup. I have a lot of make up so it took a long time, but I found three big boxes full of very expensive makeup that all contained talk. It is especially where I'm around my eyes as it's a mucus membrane. I am hesitant to apply despite my love for a more than a few of my beautiful eyeshadow palettes and facial powders. I wish companies would let us trade in the to containing items for their new tile free products! It happens with recalls in the grocery store. I a girl can only dream… I've noticed a significant increase in companies changing over powders and creams with talc to new versions that are marketed as "talc free". Seems like a little suspicious to me. I included a photo of the ingredients if anyone has any sensitivities to any of the ingredients. If you have flawless skin, and you're not worried about the talc issue, it may work for you but for me it's a no go. It did appeal to me at first glance. My 45-year-old skin, needs 3 in 1 products that hide my pores and wrinkles rather than enhance them.
