Snap Circuits Nite Lite Science Kits

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Instructions are easy to follow and a good project to do together. Smaller but manageable pieces for tinier hands. Age appropriate product - could even skew a little younger if your kiddo is into switches and lights. The covers do not clip in and balance on top so they aren't super stable but once you get it into position, they work fine. The covers are a little flimsy but it's nice it comes with 5 options. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great night light kit. It’s very rudimentary and requires a bit of setup. It is actually a lot smaller than I expected. When I turned the light show on it wouldn’t be big enough to showcase the images all over the room but only on one small area or wall. It does what it’s supposed to do but considering the price I thought it would be bigger. My child enjoyed building the product but feels like this could’ve been an easier setup. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for my six year old son. He loves night lights and he also loves anything that is hands on that he can accomplish by himself. I do think he can do this by himself. He will be seven in two months. After connected it spins around and lights up with multiple different colors. My only concern is I am not sure I would feel comfortable leaving this on all night in his room unattended. It scares me for fire safety. But I love that this is an educational toy that can teach him and he can do with minimal effort from me. Also, this has to be plugged into a wall outlet so you need a connector. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice STEM activity. We put the light together with my almost 4 year old in about 10 minutes. The directions were easy for her to follow. The pieces are bright and clearly numbered. The spheres are fragile. They remind me of camera roll film. The hole at the top is quite small so it's not easily changed. It's near impossible to change without having a light on. A piece with some easily identifiable constellations would be nice to incorporate that with outside. Overall, it was a fun activity to do and she loves using it as a night light. I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are a huge fan of snap circuits so was excited for this one to arrive. The circuit itself was easy to put together. The domes though are made of a thin plastic so they can easily be crushed if not careful - especially when playing in the dark. At first we were just having the domes balance on the clear support bar but you can push it into place via the square hole and it'll stay steady there. The light in the dark room was way brighter than I expected and it was really cool to see the different designs on the walls. My daughter loved changing out the domes to see the different scenes display on the walls and ceiling. It's a great addition to our snap circuits collection. Just to note this circuit runs off of a usb c connection as opposed to a battery. We plugged the provided cable into a battery pack and it was great to keep mobile vs attached to a wall.
