Works Ok
This roof rake worked ok but I had a problem with it always coming apart. It came apart on the bottom part of the telescoping tightener - the part that isn't suppose to slide or the part that is attached to the top of each section.

Customer Service Very Helpful!
I received my Snow Joe on a Friday, and used it for the first time that Sunday. Unfortunately, there was an issue and the unit will not collapse. I called customer support on Sunday morning and it was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was being staffed on a weekend. After I explained the issue, I was told to register my product online (which I had not done yet) and call back. When I called back, I was told that the product would be replaced at no charge. That was great - unfortunately all the snow has melted and I have not had the opportunity to use the replacement rake this year.

Sturdy roof rake
This was easy to assemble, and was sturdier than my previous one. We had crazy amounts of snow this winter and my gutters were full of ice. I was able to get each new snow removed, and eventually, got some sun and temps warm enough to melt it.

Got the Job Done
I found the roof rake light and fairly easy to handle. While I love the idea of telescoping sections for easy of storage, when you are raking in the cold, ice and snow, the blue plastic threaded joints freeze up. I ended up having to bring the rake indoors to thaw it out and then lubed the joints with WD40. That worked marginally. At least I was able to telescope the rake back to the size I could store in the garage. Because of the difficult operation of the blue threaded joints, I would probably not buy this rake again. Despite that operational challenges I was able to get the roof raked and saved the lower level of the house from water damage.

Great for solar panels
I used the Snow Joe on my solar panels this winter and was very impressed. The 21' length was necessary to get to the top of the panels and is a bit hard to maneuver, but the rake did the job with both light and heavy snow falls.

My new roof rake
This rake is easy to put together, but make sure you tighten the nuts well or check them after each use. I lost one that holds one of the braces to the plastic rake head. The plastic rake seems to be less harmful to asphalt shingles than my old aluminum one. Know that it's difficult to change the length of the handle once you've used the rake as snow gets inside and freezes up the pieces that screw apart.

Reaches second-story roof
This thing is a beast. When fully extended it will reach some pretty ridiculous spots on your roof. Cleared out the snow around an ice dam on my second story roof without having to stand on a ladder (although I was standing on top of a large snowdrift, but still impressive reach).

Great Product!
I love using the Snow Joe Telescoping Snow Joe Shovel Roof Rake. It clears my rooftop solar panels and roof from light or heavy snow. It is light weight and easy to use. I am short and not strong, but I have no problems with this product. It has made a big difference in my power output this winter. Also, Snow Joe has outstanding customer service!

I am very impressed by this product it is very sturdy and very easy to make it short or make it long very easy to assemble took no more then 5 minutes as I said it is a much better product then the one I purchased in town about 5 years ago

It would be a better product if the head of it pivoted back and forth, the pole barely has a curve on the end of it. I tried to get debris off my roof and this barely scraped the edges. Had the end pivoted maybe I could've grabbed more debris. Now, I'm buying a ladder which I wanted to do in the first place.

Have a seamed metal roof. Easy to use and does what its supposed to do. Would recommend this product.
