It provides a surround sound experience without having speakers need to be placed around the room and it’s compact but still is aesthetically pleasing so it will have a great spot on my mantle. It connected seamlessly to my TV and phone and I’m very excited to keep using it for both music and watching TV.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to confess that I was sceptical at first as I thought the sound output from our TV was pretty good but wow does the Bravia theatre bar raise the bar (pun intended!!). I’m always a bit anxious about setting up any new tech especially as the instructions provided were 'brief' to say the least ….basically scan a QR code, download the app and complete each simple step. Within 30minutes the bar was unboxed, connected and ready to go. The next challenge was to decide what to watch. The TV guide offered plenty of quiz shows and sit coms but an endless stream of celebrities wittering on hardly seemed much of a test for this impression looking bit of kit so we settled on a Lord of the Rings DVD. Firstly we watched 45 minutes without the Bravia connected then the same 45 minutes (fair testing and all that) with the theatre bar. Wow what a difference! A rich full bodied sound filled the room while the dialogue was crisp and clear. Using the app we could modify the sound quality to suit our particular preferences. It would be an exaggeration to say it felt like being in the cinema, I didn’t have an annoying tall person fidgeting and talking in from of me, but boy in terms of the surround sound quality it was close. Next to give it a thorough work out I connected it, via Bluetooth, to my music collection. Now I’m not an expert on TV and film but I am picky about my music and again WOW! Whether a bit of overblown progressive rock ,sonorous if a little gloomy Leonard Cohen or a touch of high brow classical the room was filled with sound. It even received top marks from my 18 year granddaughter who commandeered the set up with a few friends for musical evening of their own. All in all a really great product. Elegant and well built, easy to set up and control and most importantly it really enhanced the sound quality for TV programmes, film and music.

From headphones to speakers and soundbar, Sony is consistent in producing devices with impressive sound quality. I tested this Bravia Theater Bar through the Dolby Atmos sound test via Youtube and it felt like I was in a movie theater! It passed the surround sound as well as clearly identifying the moving audio. This sound bar boasts a cinema-style surround sound with 360 spatial sound mapping and it’s absolutely true based based on my personal experience. It has 13 speakers units which definitely helped deliver a crisp and clear sound with powerful bass. The app was okay, didn’t really use it much after downloading it, maybe only once and that was it. But, if you’re the type of person who loves to customize audio settings then you would definitely often use the app. I like how you can easily connect devices through this sound bar, I can play spotify music through my phone and I love the sound quality experience. Highly recommend and so thankful for influenster for giving me a chance to try this amazing sound bar from Sony!

We can hardly tell if the sound is coming from the TV speaker or the Sony BRAVIA Bar. There is no difference. We try to change the bass and the sound field/night mode, but it’s still not much of a difference. The remote control stopped working after two weeks (we added brand new batteries in). Before the remote control went bad, there was no telling that the remote is doing what we’re pressing. Nothing is showing up on the screen to indicate the volume has gone up or down. If we press any of the other options, the sound would pause (cut off) and then come back. We took that as an indication that the remote is doing what we wanted to do. But, again, the remote does not work anymore and I uploaded the BRAVIA app to use instead of the remote. Sometimes, the sound bar won’t connect to my phone and I have to keep retrying until it connects. The plus thing is we can control the volume using the TV’s remote control, but we can’t use any of the other options. It’s also important to note that i installation steps weren’t easy to follow. I ended up looking up the steps online to understand the parts and how they work.

Check that the other devices connected to the speaker system and TV are connected to the correct jacks with the correct cables, and that they are firmly inserted all the way to the back. 2. Check that the ventilation holes on the rear of the speaker system are not blocked. 3. Disconnect the AC power cord (mains lead) from the wall outlet (main) to turn off, and then wait several minutes before reconnecting it. 4. Reset the speaker system. All the speaker system settings are returned to their initial state. If the issue still occurs following these steps, please contact us for further assistance and help. I was very excited about this sound bar, however, I was very disappointed with the quality of the sound. I have a Bravia TV so setting up the bar to the subwoofer was very easy to do. Singing this is what is the top-of-the-line Sony sound bar? I thought I was going to be blown away by the sound, but I ended up being disappointed voices were muddled, and the projection of the sound was moderate at best I compared the Sound bar to two other top-of-the-line sound bars, and I decided to return the Sony Bravia 9 sound bar.

We understand that we have different preference when it comes to audio. That is why we include ways to adjust the sound quality to your liking. All of this is included in the manual that came with the unit. To ensure that you are getting the most out of your HT-A9000, we recommend to make sure to run Sound Field Optimization so that the HT-A9000 can calibrate its performance to your environment, and that it sounds like it was engineered to be in your room. The voice zoom works to adjust the volume of human voices when a TV compatible with the linkage function of the speaker system is connected. When voice zoom is turned on, the last adjusted value in the TV menu or remote control screen on the app will be applied. We regret to hear that the speaker had to be returned. Inside the box is the bar, remote, cables, wall securing joints and fixings, and spacers for siting the bar between the tv feet. There are no installation instructions per se, But a qr code for an app. As an older user this invoked a little panic! However, The ease of installation is impressive, quick and very easy. Simple plug and play, with all cables provided, And the sound is awesome. Loud when it’s needed, and responsive too Sound coming from every corner without extra speakers! Stunning And yes I personally would recommend this product to any, and everyone. Truly worth every single penny. Easy to use, Easy to install, Stunning sound at low and high volume, Excellent quality, Excellent build, Could only be Sony.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have paired my new Sony Bravia Theatre Bar 9 with my 55 inch Sony OLED TV and I must say that the aesthetics are very satisfying as the Bar is almost the same width as the TV, I have flipped round the stand on the TV that increases the height so the soundbar fits perfectly underneath. The sound that comes from the unit is simply incredible and was very easy to set up and pair with my TV. All of the cables that you need are supplied and there is also fixings to mount this on the wall if required. My previous soundbar that I had does not come close to the sound that this one produces and will easily fill the whole room so that you can really enjoy cinema quality sound. The app that I have downloaded on my phone is very intuitive to help set up the sound bar and also allows you to configure the settings. Other useful features that I have used are for streaming my Spotify account to the unit and I had not trouble setting this up on the app. I would highly recommend this sound bar if you want to experience cinema quality sound!

I’m relieved it has voice mode so that I can balance the shows that have loud music and quiet talking. My only gripe is that the instruction manual is really sparse. The QR code on it just takes you to download an app. Then the app was really weird about creating an account and logging in. It was about a 15 minute process. But now that it’s all set up I’m satisfied with it!

It has 13 speakers with a 360 Spatial Sound Mapping that creates a full surround in a room from just the sound bar. It also has Dolby Atmos and DTS: X for even more enhanced audio. Installation is easy by using the included HDMI cable and power adapter. The remote is simple to use with a volume up and down, bass and sound enhancements. To really get the most out of the Theater Bar 9 I had to download the Bravia app and connect it to the sound bar this is where you can refine the sound even more. Overall the Sony Bravia Theater Bar 9 has exceeded my expectations and has provided the best sounding experience I’ve had when I watch a movie or listen to music. To get the ultimate sound I would need to get a Sony subwoofer but as a stand alone device this works great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My TV is older so this really saved the sound on it. Sometimes it goes in and out and it’s completely cured with the sound bar. The price is a little crazy for what this is so I probably wouldn’t buy it myself.
