Great sound, bad build quality!

Sound and noise canceling is top tier, build quality though lacks. Recently replacement a pair of these headphones and the new one also makes a creaking sound everytime I place then on their case or just simple put them on my head, seems like plastics parts are loose Only on the right side though. That's too shame for such expensive premium product!! Maybe specific batch was faulty idk

Worth it!

I bought one a few weeks ago and I am very satisfied with its performance. I use it everyday and it’s very comfortable to wear and the sound quality is great. I’ve been comparing different brands for months and deciding to get this was the best decision.

Sound great and the noise cancelling is incredible

Headphones sounded great out of the box and the noise cancelling is a game changer. Ambient mode is also great with the voice filtering being extra helpful for me on the train. Battery life is also excellent and it recharges fast. They do clamp tight around your head so might be uncomfortable for some.

Few issues

I bought it less than a week ago and it’s having a few issues, it makes random beeping noises and feels like there is a loose wire in the ear piece annoying you like a mosquito you can’t swat away. Rather displeasentry. However I do quite the ANC very strong!

Just OK

Tried these out at 3 locations. Not impressed. 30mm drivers are so 90s. We should have moved into 50-54mm drivers which sound much more alive. If you like a generic sound quality - these are for you. If you want true brightness and great lows there are far better products available for the price.

Fabulous headphones

I’ve moved to these headphones from Apple AirPods, so the sound is massively better. Exactly as I expected from Sony. The noise cancellation is also excellent. I would highly recommend. On the expensive side, but worth it.

One word! Amazing!! 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sound quality is great, done some big eq tuning to get the best sound posible and... WOW they just sound WOW *NOTE: Only with my personal EQ*. Noise cancelling as you'd expect is top top!!! still not complete silence but is a nice upgrade and you can hear the improvments! Check them out for yourself, one BIG thing they fold YES YES! Love these Thanks again!! Keep delivering on updates, for noise cancelling, sound ect. :)

Better than XM4's except for comfort

Product is better than the XM4s in almost every way other than comfort. They begin to get uncomfortable after wearing it for a couple hours.

Poor product

I bought this device this month and its really cool but there is some negative points, the noise cancellation work when you rise up the volume near 75 % unless you can not feel any noise cancellation. The product has one physical issues and I decided to ignore because I have terrible delivery issues and I don’t want to have it again. So Im happy to have this product but I don’t recommend it for people who really need professional sound.

Simply incredible headphones!

I’ve been using the WH-1000XM6 for a couple of weeks now and honestly - they’re brilliant. Perfect for commuting, the noise cancelling completely blocks out the world around you, and the sound quality is rich and immersive. The comfort is spot on (even after hours of use), and the battery life just keeps going - well over a week for me with 2–3 hours a day. Sony have absolutely nailed it with these. A premium product that delivers on every promise. Highly recommended, worth every penny!

The best noise cancelling headphone I've ever had.

Very happy with my purchase. I don't usually buy myself nice things because I'm too frugal but this has got to be one of the nicest things I've ever bought myself. I have been procrastinating buying headphones that are best at noise cancelling, have a deep bass offering, with crisp music sound, & are slick in design. My WH-1000XM6 Wireless headphones gave me all that in one. The touch interface is a pleasant experience too. I fly a lot over long distances across countries & this will definitely make my flying experience a lot better now, better than the previous multiple headphones I've head.

A little overhyped and underwhelming

Sound quality and bass is good and call quality is good however the noise cancelling is not. With music on around 60-75% volume i can still hear mumbles of normal sound level conversation and a crying baby on the opposite side of the bus with ANC on. Even when turning music on to the loudest possible i can still hear everything around me. When i press the noise cancelling button to turn it off there is no difference to what i can hear. So essentially with ANC on or off there is no difference to the noise i can hear around me. Ambient sound however is effective. The headphones itself are mostly comfortable and the colours are nice. However they are massive and bulky on my head and quite honestly look ridiculous. I bought these headphones for the ANC as it is so called the best noise cancelling headphones on the market right now but the best it can do is drown out some conversation. It would be worth getting smaller and nicer looking sony headphones if the noise cancelling on the xm6’s are this disappointing especially for the price. I thought my headphones were faulty at first and they might be after looking at reviews on social media, that’s how bad the noise cancelling is on these.

Unable to turn off

Off button does not work. Tried turning them off with the off button. The manual says to press and hold for 2 seconds. This doesn’t work. Set them up to turn off when the headset is removed and this doesn’t work either. I have to turn them off with the app. Sony have made it extremely difficult to talk to support and their bot has no options to help me, so hear me now: stay away. This is an expensive headset that doesn’t work on a fundamental level.

So easy to use advanced features with great sound

After a lot of research I opted for Sony 1000XM6 and after a week using the headset I’m mighty impressed. The sound quality is fabulous and the accompanying APP gives excellent control and functionality
