Our cats prefer to snuggle rather than play with this toy. Maybe the sound could be activated with a more sensitive setting. I wish it had a was to stash some catnip in it somewhere to encourage more play.

Very cute and the tail is crinkly which our cat likes, but you have to press the squirrels chest a bit harder than I expected for it to make sounds. It’s not an issue for me to press it, but my cat has not been able to get it to make any sounds at all. Maybe if your cat is very rough, it could get it to make noise. Our cat still likes it for the crinkle tail, but we were hoping he would be able to trigger the noise himself. If you’re looking for something that can make noise, but your cat won’t be triggering on their own, this is perfect for you though!
