Q: What is the difference between this vest, and the speedo splash life jacket vest that is Dimensions (Overall): 10 Inches (H) x 23.5 Inches (W)

A: The Splash Jammer has arm bands and a chest piece, whereas the Kids Life Jacket is an actual vest (more traditional) with straps around the waist and between legs. But they are for around the same weight range.

Weight limit says up to 55 lbs. My son is 40 lbs & 40 inches (@ 3 1/2) and I could just barely close the clasp in the back. I had high hopes after reading other reviews that I had finally found a vest that will work for my son. Other best we tried didn’t keep him afloat. The pros are that it is easy to put on and his arms actually fit in the “swimmies” on the sides. Would not recommend unless your child is very skinny and/or at the low end of the weight requirements.
