Timed events like Splatfests bring different types of chaotic competition and content updates add even more weapons and stages. Earn points to get in-game items from season-specific catalogs to dress up your own personal locker and show your style.
Use inky new abilities and weapons to compete, cooperate, or clear up the mystery of the Fuzzy Ooze
Dynamic new moves like the Squid Surge and Squid Roll will help you and your fellow Inklings cover more ground and avoid enemy ink. Take aim with the bow-like Stringer and get slash happy with sword-like Splatanas—these new weapon types join an arsenal of fresh special weapons and sub weapons, too. In addition to new weapons and maneuvers, the SplatoonTM 3 game features brand-new battle stages like the desolate Scorch Gorge and the urban Eeltail Alley. When you aren’t splatting or shopping, outwit opponents in the Splatlands’ one-and-only card game, Tableturf Battles. With customizable nameplates called Splashtags, lockers to deck out, and a variety of victory emotes, Splatoon 3 has even more ways to show your individuality. Oh, you can also choose your eyebrows!

Other Nintendo devices are required for multiplayer. It does not offer split screen. This should have been noted more clearly in the description not with an asterisk that requires scrolling through several paragraphs to find,

Returned the next day. Only one player and requires a subscription to play. $60 is steep for a game them throw in a monthly charge.

I didn’t realize when I bought it that it’s a game that requires online subscription. Only one player per switch playing against people online. Some people may like that, but to not have an option to play multiplayer within the same house, really stupid. I wanted to play with my son.

Endless amounts of fun for all ages. Great for kids, teens, and adults. Gameplay is pretty engaging too and colors look vibrant, especially on an OLED switch. This is a multiplayer heavy game though. So don’t forget you need Nintendo Switch Online for 90% of the game before buying this!

That it isn't multi player. Seems silly you can't make this muli player. My kids were so excited then realized not multiple player, then they said it's no fun without an online subscription. Talk about money wasted.

Splatoon 3 has exceeded what Splatoon 2 was! Love the gameplay, and all the new features. You DO NOT need and online subscription to play the story mode, but you do need it if you wanna play online with other people. Other than that, story mode is also super long and will keep you entertained and challenged for weeks!

My son loves the game but the annoy part of it, it doesn't explain that you NEED an Nintendo online account which cost money if you want to play people online. So I have been nagged for a week now for the purchase. Thanks Splatoon🤦♀️

This game is addicting. From a first time Splatoon player, I was a bit overwhelmed with information. But once I got the hang of it and learned the menus/gameplay I started to really love the game. Turf war battles are where it’s at in my opinion, and I can’t get enough. Pick up this game if you haven’t played any Splatoon game before and you won’t regret it. It’s ALOT of fun.
A great improvement

A great improvement I know some people may feel that the game is incomplete at launch due to the DLC they announced back in August, but we still have at least two years of support for this game and those updates are free. The second game was rushed, and you can kind of tell. After 5 years of development time, I think this is already a great start.

I played both Splatoon 1 and Splatoon 2, but Splatoon 3 feels like they took what was good about Splatoon 2 and over complicated it as much as possible. The new hub, menus, and battle menus are a lot more difficult to use and are a lot more complicated. I’ll be sticking to Splatoon 2.
