A: This unit has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery and unfortunately, you are not able to charge your cell phone.

Q: Does it really SOUND LIKE a loud boombox?

The audio sounds good but it does have Output power: 2 x 5 watts RMS. This unit comes with an auxiliary input jack and headphone jack. Other great features include built-in stereo speakers and tweeters, rotary volume control, 2 VU meters, built-in condenser mic and a convenient carrying handle. A synchronized light effect on speakers and tweeters adds an exciting visual to this awesome looking unit.
