This swaddle is designed to fit babies ages 3-6 months, 14-18 pounds, up to 30 inches long. This Stage 2 swaddle has an easy-to-use adjustable wrap that helps baby transitionfrom sleeping with arms in to arms out. Soft adjustable wings wrap around baby to create a snug, womb-like feeling whenbaby is sleeping with arms in. Once your little one is developmentally ready to roll and self-soothe with their hands, simplyadjust the hook-and-loop closure on the wings, position baby with one or both arms out, and press to secure. The cozy fit ofthis swaddle helps prevent the startle reflex that can wake baby, but the hip-healthy design leaves plenty of room to move. Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Don’t have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Standing with feet together and back to a wall. Measure from floor to the top of the head.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

Urgent safety issue

I used the SwaddleMe by Ingenuity Arms Free Convertible Swaddle Wrap just once and immediately noticed it was shedding tiny plastic-like fragments from the fabric. This is a major safety issue — my baby could easily ingest these pieces. I stopped using it right away. For a product meant for newborns, this is unacceptable. I expected better quality and safety. I urge Target to look into this issue and consider removing it from shelves until it’s resolved.

Fine swaddle, bur sheds plastic

I only noticed this after reading this from another reviewer, but this swaddle sheds little bits of plastic from the Velcro side from undoing it. I noticed little bits of plastic in the bassinet and stopped using it immediately. Otherwise, the swaddle is OK. My baby seemed to like it, but not worth the risk of my baby ingesting the fine plastic.

Beware!

The Velcro on this swaddle sheds! I was shocked when I realized little bits of plastic velcro fragments all over my baby’s crib. I have stopped using this product immediately and urge other reviewers to inspect their cribs for these fragments. I am very surprised no one else has picked up on this dangerous flaw as baby could potentially ingest these plastic pieces.

Poor Quality

This swaddle works well for our long two month old. We use it for nap time and occasionally leave arms out. Seams have already started to give way on the product with less than one week of use. More than 3 points have broken seams.

It grows as they grow

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My baby loves this swaddle. I do wish you didn’t have to turn baby over to Velcro on the back. If you are trying to keep baby sleeping while unswaddling that makes it more difficult. Overall I would recommend. Baby is warm and cozy!
