Q: Do these pads work on a Swiffer Bissell Model 6639?
A: Yes, they will work. I have the steam model as well, and I've used several different brands of both wet and dry pads because the special Bissell Steam pads are expensive and hard to find. The important thing is that the size is 10" x 8" or slightly bigger (certain Swiffers use 5" wide pad). Be aware that the textures and thicknesses can be very different, especially between wet and dry, which don't have the 'scrubber' strips. It is also true that the amount of liquid is important, but the streaking only happens when the pad is too wet. This is actually easier to avoid when you start with dry pads and just a little bit of cleaning product. You can spray a cleaner lightly all over the floor first, or you can use the lid from the pads container to dip the dry pad in a small amount of cleaner. The nice thing about the steam function is that you can control the moisture easily without worrying it's just right to start with. The dry pads also give you the flexibility to choose what cleaning products you use every time - bleach or disinfectant in the bathroom, safe cleaner for wood floors, or your favorite natural products. I use non-toxic solutions made from diluted vinegar, castile soap, or borax with a couple drops of essential oil. Easy, cheap, safe, pleasant non-chemical scents, and it's rewarding and kind of fun to come up with your own natural cleaners :) I highly recommend trying the dry pads, and after a little experimenting you'll have a better, healthier, more flexible product, and save a lot of money too!
submitted byJoy - 4 years agoA: Thanks for reaching out! Only the Swiffer BISSELL Steamboost steampads can be used on the Steamboost, as they have just the right amount of cleaning solution to work with the steam created by the device. Other pads could create a hazy, streaky floor, and is not recommended to use.

Q: I'm confused. There appears to be a "SwifferDry Refill" and a "Heavy Duty Dry". What is the difference?
A: We offer Dry cloths and Heavy Duty Dry cloths, and both are designed to trap and lock dirt, dust, hair, and allergens for a great clean. The Heavy Duty version trap and locks 2X more.
