A: not that I am aware of - we have 2 small dogs & have add numerous small children within our house hold and we have never had a problem with any “toxic molecules”

A: Some answers are saying 2 aa batteries and others say 4 aa. I guess make sure you have at least 4 aa!

Q: Can the cleaning solution bottle be refilled with any solution of choice? I have kids with allergies and medical conditions, so I make my own natural, low-ingredient cleaning solutions.

A: Absolutely, Eve. The WetJet Wood is safe to use on finished hardwood and bamboo, ceramic, laminate, linoleum and vinyl floors. It's safe for sealed granite and marble floors. Contact the manufacturer of the floor for any questions or test on a hidden area of the floor before use. Use only on sealed, finished flooring. Q: My swiffer Wet Jet is at least 10-15 years old. I tried to use it today and it won't work. New batteries put in right, primed it for 5 seconds, squeezed the bottle. Time for a new one?

I only gave it 4 stars because it took a long time to get it to work after I put it together. I had to spend a lot of time checking the batteries and making sure the cleaner was inserted correctly etc. before it finally worked.

Really frustrated that I just bought this a couple of months ago and it no longer works. I’ve checked batteries but it no longer sprays the cleaner solution.

After several months, the internals got wet and corroded the motor. The plastic brackets broke as well. Waste of money to but the mop, the bottle, wipes and battery if it all gets wet and fail. Why did you design, build and market such a cheap design and provided an unrealistic warranty? I cant return it, no one should every buy expensive cleaning tools to throw in the garbage. waste of money.

I'm on my second replacement. Just like the first one, It works a few times, then stops working altogether. Never had a problem before with Swiffer WetJet... till now. I'm suspecting that the main issue is they've redesigned this product so it only uses 2 batteries now instead of the usual 4 batteries. Whatever's going on, Procter & Gamble, you need to sort this out!

While our WetJets now require 2 batteries instead of 4, this has no affect on the performance of the product. We suggest replacing the batteries with fresh AA ones, making sure that the solution bottle isn't empty and that it's fully inserted, and gently brushing the nozzles to help loosen any clogs. The mop constantly comes apart in the middle where the two pieces of the pole connect. Every time I pick it up they separate and I have to put it back. It's done it since day one, I'm not sure why I didn't return it.

Unfortunately this product did not last for me. I used it three times (minimal cleaning impact) and it stopped working. Changed the battery, troubleshot other defects. I could not find my receipt and could not return. It would recommend a mop and elbow grease to get stains/marks off your floors.

It's pretty sad when a product requires searching for and viewing YouTube videos to figure out assembly and use. That's why I give this only a 3-star rating. From what I've seen on its cleaning value I will probably rate higher once I've used it a few times. Here's what I had to watch a video for -- inserting batteries, placing the pad on (directions state attach strip side down. well, there is one side with one stripe and the other side has two stripes), loading the cleaner container (no direction to remove the cardboard inside the section where the container goes and this cardboard looked and felt like plastic and was pretty securely inserted). No direction on actually using it - do you push the button, release, mop or do you hold button while mopping? THe excess cleaner on the floor helped me figure this out. A few more directions, better product labeling, helpful hints, FAQs including with the packaging would have helped.

One of the worst products I have ever purchased. Heavy, unwieldy & ineffective. The handle is designed by someone who doesn’t understand ergonomics. If it isn’t poking me, it’s twisting my wrist in an unnatural manner. It was bought, anticipating an easier job of mopping (as advertised). Instead, I use it as seldom as possible, because I don’t want to be injured by a floor cleaner. If I had tried it immediately, I would have returned it. But now it hangs awkwardly in my back hall, reminding me of how foolish I was to fall for its promotions. I think I will have to toss it in the garbage, so I can stop thinking of what a dupe I was, to fall for the promises of a device that is a giant bottle of cleaner hung upside down on a stick. What could go wrong with that?! Soon, It may have to fall down the basement stairs “accidentally,” to render itself totally useless, and allow me, in good faith, to toss it out. A lesson to be learned. If it seems to be too good to be true…IT IS!

I use this everyday & it’s very convenient & easy to use. Keeps my hard floor clean & this starting kit doesn’t come with many pads but I just bought more separately & they weren’t expensive. Definitely need one of these in your house if you have hard wood, or tile. Overall, it works exactly as expected, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a hassle-free, efficient way to clean their floors. 👍👍
