Q: I cannot use the wet pads because of their chemicals and fragrance. I must use water or my safe cleaner. WHY please do you say that water can’t be used on the dry pads? Makes no sense to me. Are dry pads the same for both size swiffer heads?

A: Since safety is at the heart of all we do, we can assure you that all of our products have been thoroughly evaluated to be safe when used as directed. We don't recommend using water or other cleaners with our Dry cloths, as we haven't tested them to be used in this manner. Our Dry cloths are available in two sizes: one that's compatible with the head of our Sweeper, and our XL Dry cloths, which are 1.5X wider to accommodate the head of our Sweeper XL.

A: This device is 1.5x wider than Swiffer Sweeper, it covers more ground so you don't have to. Great for large areas and big projects. As you mentioned, The sweeper has a locking head feature that locks the mop head in the horizontal position for sweeping, scrubbing, and storage.

A: When unopened, the wet cloths have a shelf life of 2 years. After opening, it has a shelf life of up to 6 months when kept at room temperature - between 50- and 85- degrees Fahrenheit, and when stored flat. I may not have this product of yours, but I have quite a few different Swiffer products. The quality now, straight trash. Instead of calling it Swiffer it should be called Swisher, since all it does is just wish the dog here around and doesn't pick up anything. Again straight trash.

Bad Quality Control, Bad Support
Product is missing a part and their support chat doesn't work (it just says connecting for a really long time) so I am unable to get the replacement part. Upon opening the box I see that there's only one piece of the handle. There's supposed to be two aluminum tubes. So I have a 3-ft long XL swiffer that I have to bend over to touch the ground. They really need some way to email or chat with them to get things like this fixed.

With the wider head and bigger pads, it will make short work of the dust, dirt, hair, and whatever other dry messes you may want to clean up. Great for quick clean ups
The Swiffer XL Sweeping Kit has been a real game-changer for quick daily clean-ups, especially in a high-traffic house like ours. With seven people constantly moving in and out, and multiple surfaces (tile, hardwood, and laminate), the floors take a beating. The XL version covers noticeably more ground with each swipe — a great bonus when you’re trying to clean efficiently and not spend all day sweeping. The dry cloths are fantastic at picking up dust, hair, and crumbs, and in a house with four teenage boys, that debris seems to regenerate hourly. The wet cloths are convenient but limited in number (only two in the starter kit), so we quickly stocked up on refills. They’re good for light cleaning, especially in bathrooms or entryways, though they may not fully replace a deep mop for stuck-on messes. The Swiffer itself is lightweight and easy to use. Even the kids will grab it when asked (a small miracle). It’s also slim enough to store easily, which matters in a busy household. It’s not a full mop replacement for us, but as a maintenance tool between deeper cleanings, it’s worth the investment — especially if you hate dragging out a bucket every time there’s a spill.

You can’t find the refill pads anywhere which essentially makes the product useless or you need to use two smaller pads which is a waste of money. Do better.

Based on the QUOTE from SWIFFER, I can't recommend this.
I WAS going to buy this... But I like to read the reviews first. There is a One Star review that the Swiffer support person responded "For best results, sweep or vacuum the floor first." REALLY... If you need to sweep or vacuum the floor first, why bother with a swiffer? I will keep my old commercial DRY MOP. It works better than anything I can find today.
