holy cow this thing is loud (optima 50)
This thing will make your ears ring. Replaced a older model (swingline optima 45) that has worked great at a hospital surgery center for many years. This thing is like a gunshot going off. Does a great job and the last version was a workhorse and lasted 9 years. I'm not sure if I want this one to last that long. I wouldn't recommend unless you are already working in a very noisy environment.

Rarely worked, now the slide won't function
It rarely worked in AUTO mode. So I started using it sparingly in manual (it's a bit bulky & I've tiny hands) Well, now I can't even get the slide to come out & it's just a paperweight now.

Battery problem fixed!
Stapler stopped working on batteries, despite new fresh AA batteries. Chat said battery compartment is loose, not fixable. I FIXED IT by bending the PRONGS on the battery COVER to tighten. It works

Net time saved = -30 x number of staples used
When it works it is great, but once a month it jams, and then you spend 10-20 minutes unjamming. And today, 30 minutes, and can't unjam.

Terrible Stapler
This stapler has broker down at least 4 times in the last few years since we've purchased it. It has a warranty but I'm guessing they send a refurbished one as it just breaks down again soon after we receive another. Don't waste your time or money!

Terrible feature ruins it
There is an orange slider where you can adjust how far into the page the staple will go. it adjusts back a step every time you use it. This one flaw makes this otherwise great tool maddening to use. I normally dont write reviews for products but this stapler annoyed me into action. End rant
