Q: What template do I use for UP& UP address labels standard 1X 2 5/8 (2.5cm X 6.6 cm)?

submitted by caitlyn - 8 years ago
  • A: Actually the 8160 template doesn't work because the labels actually measure 15/16" so each one down the page is a little more crooked. These are junk. Buy Avery.

submitted byRyrod - 8 years ago
  • A: Actually the Avery 8160 does NOT work with this UP&UP!

submitted bysls - 7 years ago
  • A: As of 12/6/2019 the labels come with instructions for the template and suggest using Avery 5160 labels. There are instructions on the back of each page of labels, so Target seems to have corrected the complaints of no instructions.

submitted byfoxandrosie - 6 years ago
  • A: Hello caitlyn - Great question! The Recycled Address Labels 360ct is perfect when mailing family and friends. The following steps will help you set up the labels for printing: For Microsoft Word: • Select New Document • Select Mailings • Select Labels (from left side of bar) • Select 30 Per page Address Labels from the box that pops up • Choose “Full Page of Same Label” or “Single Label” o vertical or horizontal layout • Enter Text • Print You can also use the Avery Template for the 30 per page address labels that can be downloaded from the Avery website. It is the same layout as Avery 8160 – 30 labels per page. I hope this helps. Enjoy your shopping! - Yamell

Q: Do these labels work with laser printers?

submitted by cheryld - 9 years ago
  • A: Hi Cheryl - Thanks for asking. We've double checked, and these labels are marked as being compatible with most inkjet and laser printers. Hope this helps. Enjoy the rest of your day. -Michael

  • A: No. Do not use them with laser printers! I did and the toner did not fuse correctly, lots of my labels rubbed off in the mail.

submitted byShawn - 6 years ago
  • A: Yes. Make sure you set the paper type to label as this will slow it down and allow it to remain on the fuser for longer. Thicker paper needs more heat to fuse the toner. The toner will just fall off if you leave the paper type as plain paper.

Q: I bought Target up&up address labels, in the 30 labels per sheet size. I can’t locate a template or instructions anywhere, to do this. This is from iPad, to an HP Envy 7155 printer. Is there a template, or instructions, somewhere?

submitted by Timothy - 6 years ago
  • A: Hi Timothy, These Up & Up Address labels are compatible with Avery Template 5160 available for download from the Avery website. Please note: all computer, program and printer settings are not designed equally. A test sheet is recommended prior to the final printing. Margin adjustments may be required.

Guests are saying

The labels offer an affordable option for guests looking to create address labels, but many have experienced issues with alignment and printer jams. While some guests found them easy to use with templates, others reported significant frustration due to misalignment and poor adhesion. Despite mixed experiences, the labels can be suitable for non-printing tasks, such as handwriting names for events. Guests appreciate the value but caution against relying on them for precise printing needs.

    Nope

A lot of pages came out of the printer, blank. I had to keep putting them back in the printer so that each page would print. And even though many pages came out aligned, 4 out of 12 somehow came back unaligned and therefore not useable. Will not be buying these again.

    Not Recommended - Utterly Useless

First time I have ever bought an UP&Up product and found it useless. Labels cannot be removed from the backing paper, which is very thin and tears easily. Complete waste of time and money.

    Just buy the real ones

I thought I was being smart by buying these instead of the name brand. Big mistake. I wasted so much ink trying to get these to align with word. Never got it to work. None of the templates on word match up with this. The directions are they give you are not specific enough for setting up the page. Waste of time, Waste of money. Waste of ink. I am never buying these again.

    Perforations are lopsided

It is difficult to show in a photograph, but the perforations on these labels are diagonal and lopsided, meaning the labels that are printed onto them can only be done lopsided. The recommended template on the back of the packaging is also not quite lined up correctly, also contributing to entire rows of unusable labels after printing. I would only recommend using these labels for handwritten labeling

These are the worst labels I've ever tried to use. They cause a Paper Jam in my Printer 99% of the time. I will never purchase these again. I do not recommend.

Beware of the top & bottom margins!

I bought these quickly instead of the Avery 8160 labels. My labels were formatted for the Avery 8160. When I printed the 5 sheets of labels, I noticed that the bottom 5 rows had "creeped" up and the first line of the address was located on the bottom of the label above it. When comparing the page of labels to Avery, these had a top margin just under 1/2" and a bottom margin just over 1/2". Needless to say I had to reformat every label to adjust for the margin problem. Wasted too much time. WOULD NOT PURCHASE AGAIN.

    Poor Quality

The paper is thinner than before. Some of the papers have misaligned margins. Printing is messed up. And the cuts around the individual labels are not complete, so the edges are not sharp.

    Impossible to print

I have unsuccessfully tried at least five up&up sheets after successfully printing on many Avery brand sheets. Each time, it gets caught in the printer, and I end up having to dig sticker pieces out of the feeding tray. Will not purchase again.

Work just like the name brand, but much cheaper. Pro tip is to use the name brand website to make the templates and easily print.
