Q: What template do I use for UP& UP address labels standard 1X 2 5/8 (2.5cm X 6.6 cm)?

submitted by caitlyn - 6 years ago
  • A: Actually the 8160 template doesn't work because the labels actually measure 15/16" so each one down the page is a little more crooked. These are junk. Buy Avery.

submitted byRyrod - 6 years ago
  • A: Actually the Avery 8160 does NOT work with this UP&UP!

submitted bysls - 6 years ago
  • A: Hello caitlyn - Great question! The Recycled Address Labels 360ct is perfect when mailing family and friends. The following steps will help you set up the labels for printing: For Microsoft Word: • Select New Document • Select Mailings • Select Labels (from left side of bar) • Select 30 Per page Address Labels from the box that pops up • Choose “Full Page of Same Label” or “Single Label” o vertical or horizontal layout • Enter Text • Print You can also use the Avery Template for the 30 per page address labels that can be downloaded from the Avery website. It is the same layout as Avery 8160 – 30 labels per page. I hope this helps. Enjoy your shopping! - Yamell

  • A: As of 12/6/2019 the labels come with instructions for the template and suggest using Avery 5160 labels. There are instructions on the back of each page of labels, so Target seems to have corrected the complaints of no instructions.

Q: Do these labels work with laser printers?

submitted by cheryld - 7 years ago
  • A: Hi Cheryl - Thanks for asking. We've double checked, and these labels are marked as being compatible with most inkjet and laser printers. Hope this helps. Enjoy the rest of your day. -Michael

  • A: Yes. Make sure you set the paper type to label as this will slow it down and allow it to remain on the fuser for longer. Thicker paper needs more heat to fuse the toner. The toner will just fall off if you leave the paper type as plain paper.

submitted byTim - 2 years ago
  • A: No. Do not use them with laser printers! I did and the toner did not fuse correctly, lots of my labels rubbed off in the mail.

submitted byShawn - 4 years ago

Q: Why does the package say that we should use the 5160 template when it DOES NOT work? Thanks to the answer below we know to use 8160 but I went through hours of frustration. Will you please fix your packaging?

submitted by Sheila - 3 years ago
  • A: Hi Sheila, We will investigate this and look to improve. Thank you for your feedback.

Q: Are the labels all white or have the design as shown in the picture?

submitted by Alison - 4 years ago
  • A: Hi Alison, Thank you for your interest in our Recycled Address Labels! The labels are completely white, as the graphic shown on the packaging is an example

Q: I bought Target up&up address labels, in the 30 labels per sheet size. I can’t locate a template or instructions anywhere, to do this. This is from iPad, to an HP Envy 7155 printer. Is there a template, or instructions, somewhere?

submitted by Timothy - 4 years ago
  • A: Hi Timothy, These Up & Up Address labels are compatible with Avery Template 5160 available for download from the Avery website. Please note: all computer, program and printer settings are not designed equally. A test sheet is recommended prior to the final printing. Margin adjustments may be required.

Q: What template do I use for these address labels!!

submitted by Mona - 5 years ago
  • A: Note that these are NOT 1" height labels (presuming portrait orientation). Actually .981" height per label, as far as I can tell (10 labels is 9 13/16"). Use Avery 8160 (which is for 1" labels) and customize as follows: 1. Download Avery 8160 template 2. Click to select the table (like the little + sign, but with arrows at the end of all the lines) 3. Right click and select "Table Properties" 4. Go to the Row tab 5. Where it says "Size," it should say 1" with the "exactly" box checked. Change 1" to 0.98" and click "OK." That should do it.

Q: can you write on these?

submitted by DDMcQue - 6 years ago
  • A: Yes. They are very easy to write on with marker, pen or even pencil. So its perfect for teachers give kids labels and they write there name on it and stick it on notebooks, book bins or even desks.

I bought these labels to print full pages of address labels. They do not line up at all! I used Microsoft Word mail merge and downloaded the Avery template and they do not line up. I tried printing on both an ink jet and laser printer and it still didn't align. I had to manually align each address to fit in the label. So much time and aggrevation. Hear this consumers....Don't waste your money. I buy Up & Up products all the time and never had this problem with Target brands.

What a waste of money. Avery template is WAY different than these labels. Don't bother. Target is becoming such a rip off with all their own knock off brands they make now. They used to be so much better.

Does not fit with Avery - 3 months ago
I would not reccommend these labels as a subtitution to name brand. While they say they work with the Avery template of 5160/8160 labels, the alignment was completely off and I went through an entire pack just trying to print out 3 sheets of labels. I looked up questions about this and it seems to be an issue for the last 6 years that has not been resolved. Quality is bad b/c the size is off. Value is bad b/c it was a waste of my money.

Hi - 3 months ago, Verified purchaser
I tried two different word processing software programs to print these labels from my printer. At first I thought maybe my printer alignment was off but after 5 sheets with labels that did not line up past the third row and reading reviews, I don't think that was the issue. These worked great for handwriting names on for nametags to stick onto plastic baggies and paper bags for school prizes (was able to peel away) but am disappointed in their actual purpose of using to print off labels.

They are good value, I guess, but not for my purpose. I’m using them on plastic bottles and tupperwares and they leave horrible sticky residue after being exposed to water (I have had other labels that don’t do this).

Only stick these once and they stay just fine! I tried to correct one and it did not stick the second time, however the amount of labels it comes with makes it worth it. I had to let them dry overnight after printing to prevent smearing and I used the Avery brand templates on their website to customize.

If you're using it strictly for address labels that fit in the middle, these labels work fine, BUT if you want to print to the edge, they don't line up well and not all columns will line up the same. I wasted several sheets, because the last two colunms printed off the label.
