SWISSGEAR Cascade Hardside Carry On Suitcase

I haven’t had a chance to use it yet but it looks good !

I’ve used this suitcase everywhere. I’ve had it for years and used it to travel all over Europe and the US. I’ve never been asked to check it except for on the small planes where everyone with a standard carry on ends up checking their bag. It’s just not starting to have a sticky handle but the wheels and everything have held up through cobblestone, over packing, dropping, and anything else TSA has thrown at it. I contemplate buying a new suitcase bc of the handle because ive had it at least 5 years but i worry that others won’t be as sturdy.

This SWISSGEAR Cascade Hardside Carry On Suitcase is NOT compliant with any US Domestic airlines for carry-on. United, Delta, American, Alaska, Jet-Blue, Frontier, Southwest, Spirit, and Virgin all have strict 22-in maximum height requirements. The non-retractable or collapsible wheels prevent this. If a person tries to bring this aboard they will be asked to check it in with the regular checked luggage. This is the same with all International US carriers as well. In fact so far I have not found and foreign airlines that this SWISSGEAR Cascade Hardside Carry On Suitcase is compliant with yet including Lufthansa, Brittish Airways, Air France, Air Canada, or Nippon (These are so many I haven't had a chance to check them all) just the largest ones. This piece of luggage needs re-engineering and design to comply w3ith the maximum 21 inch requirements for International and maximum 22 inch height requirements for Domestic. How did this ever get by the design team and quality control in the first place with something so basically obvious? So strangely odd??

Swiss gear has been a great brand for me! I bought this one for my 17 year old niece, she absolutely loves it! The color is great, easy to identify!

Took this on a trip recently. The luggage is made well and can hold a variety of clothing. The one side where the handle recesses bulks-up the storage area, but the other side can accomodate the excess. When full, it can get heavy, especially on the roomier side of the piece. The outside of the piece is made to help deter scrapes and dings, but they still show quite a bit. Loved the dark gray color.

I used this suitcase 3 times as a carry on and the third time the handle broke apart. I do not recommend using this unless you want to get stuck traveling with a broken suitcase.

I don't know who needs to know this, but this fits *perfectly* into the trunk well of a 1990-1997 (NA) Mazda Miata.

It is the perfect size for a carry-on. The wheels are very smooth, it’s lightweight and roomy

This little guy is perfect for several days away. It can hold an amazingly amount of clothes. Love it.

This suitcase is a fun color and the wheels glide easily. But, as someone who travels for work, I prefer the Open Story version. It's handle is sturdier and the inside compartments are better designed.

Great carryon luggage

We bought all three sizes. First time buying hard side luggage. Really nice quality and easy to move with the 360 wheels. Tons of interior space and we were able to nest (put one inside the other) them. Added bonus is they are lightweight. Highly recommend. They may not be as pretty after the first trip with the airlines, but expect to have these for a long time.

It fits Alaska Airlines as a carry-on

Terrible quality. Broke on my first use at the airport. Not a great trip after that to say the least.

Overall a decent suitcase but with no side handles or bottom plastic handle, it’s hard to maneuver when not wheeling

I have had this carryon for several years. It has traveled all over the US, Europe, South America, and even Antarctica. It has held up beautifully. I have used it in overheads on several airlines and never had an issue.

Very pricey but the quality appears to be very good.

I love this suitcase! I travel with carry on luggage only, and I have taken this on numerous domestic and international flights. Even after nearly five years of frequent use, it is still in great condition. The wheels roll smoothly and the exterior is in great condition. I would recommend this piece of luggage to anyone!

Only giving a negative review because it does not fit within carry-on requirements for AA or British Airways. If asked to put in the sizer it will NOT fit! It is too wide even when not expanded (over 9 inches). However, it does fit in the overhead compartment. If you’re willing to risk it go for it, but due to this we had to check it on the way home. I do love the color, durability, and inside compartments. Very sturdy bag so far and have taken it on several trips.
