A: yes they are good for cooking eggs. the eggs don't stick to the pans. i don't flip my eggs with the pan so i don't know how well they do for that though.

Q: Are these pans PFOA and PTFE free, but they're nonstick? This is confusing, as non-stick pans usually have that. I have the same question as the person who asked earlier. Please let me know whether TFal products have that in their pans. Thank you.

A: Hi there! Non-stick cookware doesn't need a lot of oil, we strongly advise not to use cooking sprays as they can worn down the non-stick properties but you can use a little bit of oil (cooking oil, olive oil, avocado oil) if you prefer.

First, the "eight inch" non-stick fry pan is acually only 7 1/2 inches, as stated on the packaging and the base itself is only about 5 inches. Second, and more important, the pan is very thin and lightweight, and with a long handle, is very unblalanced. The handle weighs almost as much as the pan portion. If the pan is seated on a single gas range burner, as opposed to a continuous grated cook surface, it can easily slide off or tip over; even with food in it.

Bought this set to replace our old T-fal pan that=was scratched up. Eggs always stick when frying, used Pam, Olive Oil and other oils same results eggs stick to pan and then yolks bust when tryinto remove and you lose about 20% of the egg as it stuck to the pan. Returned for a refund. When returning associate mentioned that there was a change in the pan coating and there have been a number of them returned.

The warranty that T-Fal provides is useless. They do not stand by their products. The red center of my pan started having small parts of the teflon flake off. They immediately rejected the claim and said that I overheated the pan. The pan has never been used past medium heat. It has always been handwashed and metal has never been used on the pan. The rep told me they expect their pans to flake like this. I will never by this product again because this company does not not honor its warranty.

Our family has been using this smaller fry pan for cooking eggs for 25 years. It is designed to give heat in the right position. The heat needs to be lower than you would for a different manufacturer. The larger size is great for cooking vegetables like asparagus.
