Tar City - by Blair M Shadows (Paperback)

Where do I even start....this book is in my top 10 favorite reads of the year. Tar City has banter, yearning, spice, dark moments, funny moments, side characters who lighten the mood...or make it worse. It was deliciously different for the paranormal romance world and that is so refreshing. Im obsessed with this story! The alternate timelines and swapping POVs was done so smoothly (and i dont even like then and now timelines but I loved this one). I love how they flowed and fit with each then and now timeline and the character pov swapping giving different perspectives of the timelines was so fun. No matter which timeline youre in, you get so much with these characters. The emotions, decisions, struggles and just everything with Jax and Sisk is a rollercoaster but worth the ride! The epilogue scared me! For a sec I screamed NO!!! WHAT HAPPENED!?! Then I said oh, nevermind. That was crazy for an epilogue and I loved the "we will never talk about this again" moments. It was such an amazing way to end the book. I just have one question, but I cant ask it here or id be spoiling something just a little so ill save it for after the book is out for a little while. I was not expecting the plot twist at the end and being that there is some unfinished business in a few places, I wonder, will we be returning to Tar City? Also, Blair drew all the artwork herself! Only one week left to pre-order, go get yours! P.S. The fact that Blair posted for a reread, you could read all the then chapters first, then read the now chapters and it reconstructs and flows as an entirely different story is amazing and will definitely be how I read it the second time around. P.P.S. not recommended for the first time read! Trust me, you want to read it how its written the first time because it keeps you on the edge of your seat. Then when you think you have what you wanted...you don't. I loved this book so much and I cant wait to do the reread!

i was staying up late and just kept turning the page to know what happened! I did not expect a certain plot at 90% left of the book! I loved how possessive the MMC is! The FC loves to push and tease the MC and call him "Tar Daddy" it was sort of giving venom in a way. I loved the now and then pov. I seen online that it's not recommended to do this if it's your first time reading however If you are rereading you can read all of the then povs and read all of the now POVs which i loved! This book was good and there was lots of spicy scenes. MMC is a biker who is a morally grey and is tattooed and pierced IYKYK !!I am absolutely happy with how this book ended. I am beyond happy with the ending I got with EVERYONE! Especially Jax !!
