"With its gentle affirmations, inspirational quotes, fill-in-the-blank lists and tasks -- write yourself a thank-you letter, describe yourself at 80, for example -- The Artist's Way proposes an egalitarian view of creativity: Everyone's got it."--The New York Times "Morning Pages have become a household name, a shorthand for unlocking your creative potential"--VogueOver four million copies sold! Since its first publication, The Artist's Way phenomena has inspired the genius of Elizabeth Gilbert and millions of readers to embark on a creative journey and find a deeper connection to process and purpose. Julia Cameron's novel approach guides readers in uncovering problems areas and pressure points that may be restricting their creative flow and offers techniques to free up any areas where they might be stuck, opening up opportunities for self-growth and self-discovery. The program begins with Cameron's most vital tools for creative recovery - The Morning Pages, a daily writing ritual of three pages of stream-of-conscious, and The Artist Date, a dedicated block of time to nurture your inner artist. From there, she shares hundreds of exercises, activities, and prompts to help readers thoroughly explore each chapter. She also offers guidance on starting a "Creative Cluster" of fellow artists who will support you in your creative endeavors. A revolutionary program for personal renewal, The Artist's Way will help get you back on track, rediscover your passions, and take the steps you need to change your life.
Review Quotes
"Without The Artist's Way, there would have been no Eat, Pray, Love."
--Elizabeth Gilbert "The Artist's Way is not exclusively about writing--it is about discovering and developing the artist within, whether a painter, poet, screenwriter, or musician--but it is a lot about writing. If you have always wanted to pursue a creative dream, have always wanted to play and create with words or paints, this book will gently get you started and help you learn all kinds of paying-attention techniques; and that, after all, is what being an artist is all about. It's about learning to pay attention."
--Anne Lamott "This is a book that addresses a delicate and complex subject. For those who will use it, it is a valuable tool to get in touch with their own creativity."
--Martin Scorsese

This book came into my life when I needed a sign to get back to self care. Covid-19 Pandemic allowed me to turn inward and seek why I felt “stuck” and needed to help improve myself in my career in dentistry, being a mother, and wife. Morning Pages is everything, the time for only you to work on your craft and highly recommend this for everyone wanting to improve themselves by discovering their inner artistic child.

I bought it as a gift. I've read it before and loved it. Amazing book about spirituality and creativity, about growth of your God given talent. How to find your talent if you dont know what is it, how to find inspiration if you "stuck", how to find your inner individuality if you forgot who you truly are.... Anyone can find something for themself in it.
