Description

Based on author Philip Pullman's bestselling and award-winning novel, The Golden Compass tells the first story in Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy. The Golden Compass is an exciting fantasy adventure, set in an alternative world where people's souls manifest themselves as animals, talking bears fight wars, and Gyptians and witches co-exist. Artic Adventure & Fantasy for the Whole Family

Like talking animals and adventures for the whole family. This arctic Narnia of a film was great in theaters, but even better on Bluray if you have the right size HDTV and 5.1 Dolby surround sound to add. It takes me back where fantasies can seem real, witches fly, fairies surprise and fans of Nicole Kidman or Daniel Craig can daydream holding hands. Overall, it brings a marvelous parallel world where Ice Bears battle and a little girl seeks truth -- this movie may find you with a nice cup of hot cocoa and warm slippers.
