I think it's super cute when I use it to put all of my hair up.... But your hair needs to either be long enough, thick enough, or curly enough to hold it in place. I still like it for everything up but would definitely work better with just more hair

Hoop and pin seem pretty sturdy, though bc of its size and my hair length (just at my shoulders) it didnt work for me (target was great abt the return tho!) If I’d bought this back when I had waist length hair I would have probably been a massive fan of this. I think the trick to this is to have enough hair to keep tension in the hoop/pin and make it stay put. Still giving it a good review bc I think it would be EXCELLENT for longer hair

When I first received my product, it took some learning to figure out how to use it. After watching a quick tutorial on YouTube, I was able to do it. It is lightweight and feels more gentle on my hair than a hair tie. I love wearing it on my bf and I's date nights as it adds just a bit of elegance! Definitely recommend!

I recieved the hair slide barrette for free In return for a review. This barette takes some learning as to how to put it in but once you get past that it's pretty easy. It's very lightweight and more gentle on your hair than a hair tie. If you're looking for something simple and elegant, this one's for you!

However, I am someone who has a hard time learning how to use new hair products. I found it rather difficult to how to slide the pin into the barrette especially since I could not see the bath of my head.

I've had to look up videos and despite many attempts, it just doesn't ever feel secure in my hair. I have very thick, wavy hair and have never had an issue with hair accessories not staying put. I think it could be super cute, but I really wish they explained how to use it on the packaging or gave some style ideas.

It took a few tries to understand how to place it in the hair at first, but now that I've got it down, I'm impressed by how nice I can make my hair look without a mirror. The gold coating really makes it classy too. I wish the straight piece was about an inch shorter, because it does look a little knitting needle-ish, but I plan to wear this a lot regardless.

I love the look of this barrette — simple and classy, goes with almost anything. However, I've found it somewhat difficult to use and it takes several tries to get it to stay in place in my hair. I'll have to keep experimenting with it. It looks gorgeous once it's in place!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I personally used this product by putting my hair in a bun and fixing it on top of my bun, as an alternate method to the formal use of putting your hair half way up and fastening the pin in the back of your head! I really liked the distressed golden asthetic in the appearance of the hair pin. It went well with many outfits and stayed well in place the entire night I wore it!! I was thrilled to receive this as a full size sample item from bzzagent, but I would have definitely purchased the item on my own and it fulfilled the necessary uses prominently!~
