Q: I see that this is supposedly hypoallergenic yet it has Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, and Argan oil is made of tree nuts. Why is there a tree nut in this? Question is for The Honest Company.

Q: Hi, why does this conditioner have lye in it? (Sodium hydroxide) This doesn't seem safe. All other ingredients seem great & I love that there's no silicone. Could you please make this without lye?

Contains synthetic Vanillin Now!
They changed this and added Synthetic Vanillin into the entire line. That’s a synthetic fragrance derived from petroleum oil. Completely against their motto and is not natural. It smells disgusting and lingers horribly like only synthetic chemicals do. Shame on this company!!! I’m completely disgusted by you.

Great product and provides good slip
My skin and scalp have become so sensitive since I became pregnant. I grabbed this, along with the shampoo, to try and I'm so relieved it's been working well, not just for my scalp, but my hair feels great too! A lot of the hypoallergenic haircare products don't provide much benefit for the hair specifically so I'm very happy. I have wavy hair that is prone to frizz and tangling. I was surprised by the slip this product gives and it also makes my hair feel so soft. I tend to air dry my hair which can sometimes lead to fizziness but this has helped with this.

Smooth and shiny without weighing hair down
I am in my 60s and have tried a million hair products. I have thin, fine, frizzy, dry, wavy hair. I have sensitive skin/scalp and want fragrance free products. It has been impossible to find a conditioner that actually leaves my hair smooth and shiny without weighing it down. Until now! This conditioner is the best I have ever found, literally. I came upon it when looking for fragrance free hair products and this is by far the best I have ever used for my hair type. It's like magic. I also love that it is a refillable bottle but unfortunately the stores near me do not carry the refills.

Irritated scalp
I use the Honest Calm Shampoo and I love it, but unfortunately the conditioner makes my scalp itchy and I had to discontinue using it.

Great conditioner!
Amazing conditioner, you don’t need a lot of it to get smooth hair, so it lasts a long time. Definitely recommend for anyone who’s hair gets too oily from other conditioners.

Stained my bathtub & doesnt work
After using this for one day, it stained by bathtub black. This is because there is a number written in black ink on the bottom of the bottle. Mind you, I wipe down my bathtub after using it, so the bottle was pretty dry, and it still stained by bathtub. I’ve never had any products do that before! Also the smell of the conditioner doesn’t stay in your hair smelling good like most conditioners do, and this product did absolutely nothing for my long hair. My hair doesn’t even look like I used conditioner when using this product. Overall completely disappointed. I’ll stick to Dr. Teals Lavender conditioner, it’s amazing. This Honest Company Lavender Calm conditioner is terrible!! I always have knots in my hair after using it, and my ends look like split ends after use, not soft and shiny like they should.

Slight scent but hardly noticeable.
Even though it says unscented, there is a light, light scent to it but not noticeable once dry. I feel like a little goes a long way. I wish the sensitive ones came in refill sizes too.

Nice for when I need it!
I don't always use a rinse/conditioner, but this one does the trick. I can even use a tiny bit as a leave-in if my hair is feeling very dry. No irritation, no fake perfumes.

This is a very heavy and thick conditioner. You use a tiny amount and rinse really well or my hair looks and feels greasy. This would be great for extremely dry hair. On the plus side it is really fragrance free.

Off Smell, want to love
Bought the Sweet Almond Conditioner. I love how it leaves my daughter’s straight-fine hair. I just don’t like the smell. It smells off, I’m hesitant to use because sometimes I worried the bottle I received was spoiled.

Best hypoallergenic conditioner I have used!
Very happy with this fragrance-free, sensitive conditioner; it works well to eliminate frizz and calm my hair. I like the sturdiness of the pump, and you do not have to use much to do the job.

Can not live without
I have very long thick coarse curly hair and have had to chase great products my whole life. When I finally find something that works I will use it exclusively until they stop making it, then I’m back to square one and hating most things on the market. I have always believed that baby products are gentler in general which is probably why I tried this conditioner out of the baby section of the store in the first place years ago and I can not say enough good things about it. It detangles my long thick curly hair in an instant, is not waxy and does not build up after using for long periods of time, it helps my hair stay clean for days, smells amazing in a natural way, not of chemicals. It makes my hair as shiny and light as it can be for its texture. I PRAY it is never discontinued. I have tried the lavender conditioner and something about it is not the same on my hair. The lavender seems to be easier to find in stores but the citrus adds more shine and bounce to my hair. Rather than searching high and low locally, I have subscribed to have this product delivered in a regular basis indefinitely! Love love love. The market for this product needs to expand beyond the baby section!
