Neat project, too many bubbles though

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a fun project, however once we poured the gel into the habitat, it was full of tiny micro bubbles that never went away. It’s been weeks now and it still has bubbles throughout the gel. Instructions say bubbles should go away within a couple of hours. Unfortunately you can’t really see much of the stuff in there because there’s so many. Either it needs more detailed instructions on how to mix the gel or they need to maybe tweak the formula…Other than that I thought this project was super cool and so did my daughter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a fun project to share with my kids! The step by step instructions were clear and easy to follow. The only additional items I needed were a measuring cup and something to stir. My only complaint is that the gel solidified a lot quicker than I expected so it was somewhat difficult to pour into the aquarium. It took almost a whole day for the gel to appear clear and there are a lot of bubbles. I have this displayed on my dresser and it’s fun to look at! This was a fun, easy project that we are proud to look at!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Think Box has a variety of products that are geared for bringing out the imagination in children. I had the pleasure of trying out the Create your own Ocean Habitat from the collection with my children and we all had an absolute blast in making our very own mini ocean. Everything that is needed is included in the package, all you need is a child and a great imagination to build an under water world of adventure. The plastic terrarium has a double sided background. We spent hours building, creating and learning. I loved that my children really got into making their ideas come to reality while working on this learning thru play activities. The one negative that needs to be mentioned is that after a few days the water gets cloudy and just looks dirty so I don't think it holds up long after putting it together.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ThinkBox Create Your Own Ocean Habitat is a fun and short activity. The instructions are easy to follow and it was fun putting everything together. If you pay attention, everything comes out looking fine after a few hours. The habitat itself is nice to look at and makes a nice display for a kid’s room or play area. Overall, ThinkBox Ocean Habitat is a fun, educational toy.

Disappointing Experience – Too Many Bubbles Ruined the View

We were really excited to try the Think Box Underwater Scene kit, but unfortunately, it ended up being a frustrating experience. We followed the directions exactly as written, step by step, and still ended up with a scene full of bubbles that never went away. The bubbles completely obscured the animals and underwater features, which defeats the whole purpose of the kit. What was even more confusing was the inclusion of the pipet—meant to add bubbles—when the scene already had way too many to begin with. It felt unnecessary and just added to our disappointment. We were hoping for a calming, clear display but instead ended up with something that looked messy and unfinished. This kit has potential, but unless the instructions are improved and the bubble issue is resolved, we can’t recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was cute and a fun activity for my 10 year old who loves crafts/hands-on activities. The instructions were easy to follow and it created very minimal mess. But now it’s just sitting around. I’m not sure of any way to use it after all the fish are already inside the goo. We’ll keep it for a little while as decor, but toss it after that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a fun project! It was nicely packaged, and everything was properly secured. The actual aquarium is pretty solid, and the lid fits perfectly. This allowed my son to use his creativity and put the sharks and plant where he wanted. The poster that came with is on his bedroom door, and he's loving that! Definitely recommend this for any kiddos interested in the ocean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a super cute and fun activity to do with the kids. It is very easy to assemble, and the materials are pretty nice. The durability I would give a 6 out of 10. The backgrounds are vivid, and the gel sets easy.

My 6 year old was so excited for this and now I'm left a sad kid and a box of gel that looks nothing like it's supposed to. We followed the directions to a T and even used a thermometer to make sure the water was the right temp for dissolving the gel. The gel became a little less cloudy as it cooled, but it's so full of bubbles that you can't even see anything in it. This is at nearly 24 hours so it's not going to get any better.
