Q: I just want to confirm that this is for the hardcorver books? I see the webiste indicates hardcover, however, in a previous question it states these are paperback.

A: There are two different options. One is for hardback. Mixed media would be paperback

Such a beautiful book set!!!! I have read this series several times and have had almost all of them (mostly paperbacks though). Unfortunately I lost them when moving four years ago. The local libraries are back ordered even the ebook. Soooooo I decided I would buy the set. Target has the best price (at least right now ) $134 plus a $15 off when you spend $110, done! I have been wanting to buy the hardcovers knowing I will reread the series again and they are gorgeous!!! If you are a fan of SJM and like this or any of her series this is an amazing set, also it contains 8 books!!! Buy it, before they are gone!

The display box was a bit beat up on a corner but the books themselves arrived in perfect condition. I’d recommend getting boxed sets whenever possible because it really reduces the shipping damages to your books.

I was contemplating getting this box set from a couple other retailers, and I’m so glad I got it through target. They had the best reviews on conditions of the product when it arrived. I can confirm that besides the little dent in the box cover, all of the books were in perfect condition! Even better than I could find for individuals on a shelf in stores these days. So excited to finally start reading this series after acotar and cc!

Came in perfect condition - absolutely love this series. I do really dislike how thin the pages are and how difficult it is being to keep the books open, especially the bigger ones. I tend to find this issue with most boxed sets but buying this series individually would’ve been much more expensive in hardback.

Book series itself is PHENOMENAL. Incredible. Amazing. Well written. Can't say enough praise about the writing, storyline, character portrayals. I read the series from the library the first time and had to wait weeks between each (after reading each book itself in 1-3 days it was torture waiting) so when I finished Kingdom of Ash I immediately purchased it to start rereading. I recommend Assassin's Blade to be read AFTER books 1 & 2, (published order) the first time through so Celaena can keep her secrets, but no matter what way you read it, it'll be amazing. Now, I had to take of 2 stars ONLY because 2 of the books were damaged and Assassin's Blade doesn't have a sleeve like the others which is odd. It was plastic wrapped still, so didn't seem used or returned or anything but I posted pics of the damage/oddities. The weird part was the outer shipping box and the storage box for the books themselves weren't damaged at all, only the books themselves. I'm going to keep it so I don't have to deal with a return, but I'm bummed I paid full price for 3/8 to be rough looking. Eventually I'll replace the damaged ones when I can afford it, but for now it won't affect the reading ability, and I'm already itching to read them after I finish this review.
