Q: Is a Twin XL mattress required or a regular Twin?

A: Standard twin is 75” Long this bed is 82. AMA twin xl is best. A standard twin sliders around way toooo much space.
submitted byJkl - 5 years agoA: The Twin Size Bed has an opening of 77.2 inches long x 39 inches wide which is too small for a twin XL mattress. A regular Twin mattress will be fine.

Q: We got the king sized bed and our king sized mattress slips all around on it. Did anyone else have this problem of the mattress not fitting snugly into the frame?

A: Yes! just put it together for my son. It's a twin and the twin mattress/boxspring is smaller and sliding around. Super annoying.

submitted byJoanna - 7 years agoA: Yup. There's probably an extra 3-4 inches on the sides, and the footboard is much further away than necessary. Doesn't bother me too much, but I do wish it was snug. I probably adjust it once a week.

Q: Can the bed support only a mattress? In other words, is a box spring required?

A: A box spring is required. There are just 3 or 4 slats across underneath, not a platform.

Q: On step 2 in the instructions when it says to bolt the side rails to the headboard we can’t do it. The nuts will just barley tighten onto the end of the bolts and then get so tight and stuck with still an inch of bolt to tighten across. What do we do?

This bed is really pretty but we have had it just over a year and already need to replace it. The metal supports underneath the bed slid and bent the screws and the frame. For what they are charging it should last more than 1 year.
Look elsewhere, this bed is noisy!

I purchased this bed in twin size for my son in spring 2020. I had read the reviews prior to purchasing and was worried about the reviews that mentioned the squeaking, but decided to take the chance anyway and I thought I could return it if we put it together and it made noise. I was relieved that it didn’t make noise so we kept it. It was fine until fall 2021 when the squeaking began. My husband tightened everything and that helped for about two days, then squeaking. It squeaks with any movement big or small. My son wasn’t getting a restful nights sleep because of all of the noise so we had to buy him a new bed. Such a waste of money!

This bed is so poorly made. The bottom supports are too tall for the bed so it lifted the bed higher than the four main legs of the bed. This made the bed shift constantly, and the supports eventually broke. Please see photos of broken supports and bent screws. We had to replace all the supports by going to buy wood, cut it down to size, measure, adjust, but screws etc. Terrible experience

I love this bed, i really feel like it completes by bedroom. Very happy with the end results. I did have to have someone help me put together, but overall pretty easy to assemble. I would say that the brass is a little easier to scratch than i wanted but overall love this frame

This bedframe is nice and sturdy. It feels more expensive than it is! I purchased the queen size and did have some assistance putting it together. The instructions were very easy but it might be a little tricky putting it together on your own depending on the size. I will say the package itself is very heavy. Mine was delivered to my apartment's management office and it was pretty difficult getting it to my 3rd floor apartment even with an elevator so just keep that in mind.

I gave this 5 stars because I am rating the bed frame, and not the description. This bed frame is very cute! Has a classic look that never goes out of style. Seems very sturdy, and was easy to put together by myself. The color is exactly what I expected. Now…My only complaint is that the description says “standard” twin frame, and I would have to disagree. I bought this frame along with a standard twin mattress and box spring, and they slide front to back like crazy! I would recommend a Twin XL mattress and I feel like the description should be changed.

I paid $400+ for this bed and it came used with dirty fingerprints and dents and dings . The only reason I’m not returning is because I’ve waiting so long for a bed frame I can’t take my matress sitting on the floor anymore . I do not recommend this bed

I bought this bed last March. It took forever to put together but I liked it initially. I liked the design and was exactly what I was looking for. Recently, I noticed the foot of the bedframe was bent out. I tried to tighten the bolts but that didn't help. It just continued to bend out so we would just bend it back. The entire thing came off the frame and there is no way to reattach. Just over a year of use and it needs to be replaced.
