RebeccaC Fast set up, fast router! - I was really pleasantly surprised at how easy this router was to set up. The instructions are incredibly straightforward, though it did require installing the TP Tether app on my phone. Total time from opening the box to switching the networks on 3 laptops, 2 phones, 2 Fire tablets, 2 iPads, and a streaming stick was just 20 minutes. We have two kids doing distance learning and two adults working from home on two different floors of our house, and our internet speeds have been great since the switch to the new router. There's no lagging when all 4 of us are on live meetings, and we can get great coverage in the backyard when the kids are uploading gym assignments. A nice feature of the app is the ability to have it toggle to whichever network is fastest at any given time without switching network names between 2.4 and 5 G. Work from home and distance learning are here to stay for a while, so with this router upgrade, it's nice to know we have a network that can handle all the activity!

  • Easy Setup: Set up your router in minutes with the powerful TP-Link Tether App.
  • Backward Compatible: Archer AX3000 supports all previous 802.11 standards and all WiFi devices.
  • Parental Controls: Manage online time and block inappropriate content to keep your family safe online.

Description

Wi-Fi 6 technology has redefined home WiFi. Experience faster speeds, higher capacity, and reduced congestion overall compared to the previous AC Wi-Fi 5 standard.[1] [2] The Archer AX3000 4-stream dual-band router reaches speeds of up to 3 Gbps, for a buffer-free 4K/HD streaming and gaming experience.[1,5]

Connect more devices via OFDMA technology, minimizing network congestion that occurs with too many devices connected at the same time.[3]

Archer AX3000 uses Beamforming technology to focus WiFi signal to your devices for more reliable coverage.

The Archer AX3000 works with all previous WiFi standards and all WiFi-enabled devices. Setup in minutes with Tether app.

[1] Claims about 802.11ax Wi-Fi technology are based on comparisons of the expected maximum theoretical data rates for one spatial stream using 802.11ax at 160 MHz (1201 Mbps) as opposed to one spatial stream using 802.11ac at 80 MHz (433 Mbps) as documented in IEEE 802.11ax draft 3.0 spec and IEEE 802.11-2016 wireless standard specifications, and require the use of similarly configured 802.11ax wireless network routers. Use of 802.11ax Wi-Fi standard requires clients to also support the 802.11ax Wi-Fi standard.
[2] 802.11ax 2x2 160MHz enables 2402Mbps maximum theoretical data rates, 3X faster than standard 802.11ac 2x2 80MHz (867Mbps) and nearly 6x faster than baseline 1x1ac (433Mbps) Wi-Fi as documented in IEEE 802.11 wireless standard specifications, and require the use of similarly configured 802.11ax wireless network routers.
[3] Use of OFDMA requires clients to also support OFDMA.
[4] Saving clients' battery power requires clients to also support the 802.11ax Wi-Fi standard. Actual power reduction may vary as a result of network conditions, client limitations, and environmental factors.
[5] Actual network speed may be limited by the rate of the product's Ethernet WAN or LAN port, the rate supported by the network cable, Internet service provider factors and other environmental conditions.
