Q: What is the height of the on and off switch and could you describe how it works?

A: Hi Row - Thanks for asking! This chic, but practical floor lamp has a turn knob rotary switch located at approximately 58" off the ground. Turn knob rotary switches are the little knobs that stick out of the base where the lightbulb is screwed in. Turning the knob will either complete the circuit to turn on the lamp, or break the circuit to turn it off. We hope you find it flips your switch! - Sara

The lamp style is nice, but the quality sucks. This is my third lamp from target this week. First one I got it was missing parts. Second one I got was leaning now this one doesn’t want to rotate and it doesn’t snap and where it pivots try to superglue that part to see if it would help because this is my third lamp in one week from target and I can’t get my refund only store credit, but do not buy. targets floor lamps are horrible. Beware do not buy.

Love the look of this lamp, however when the lampshade broke there was no replacement for it at the store that matched. And finding a shade that has the same dimensions has been nearly impossible. Light also seems to get extremely hot when left on to long.

If we had not purchased this during a 50% off sale day we would have returned it. No matter how hard we try to tighten it the whole bottom bar tends to lean and the base of the top leans as well. It gives it a cheap look. We often can get it to be straight for a few days but if we so much as try to use it for it’s function, which is to easily (hint not easy) move the shade it’ll lean all over again.
