Q: What is the height of the on and off switch and could you describe how it works?

A: Hi Row - Thanks for asking! This chic, but practical floor lamp has a turn knob rotary switch located at approximately 58" off the ground. Turn knob rotary switches are the little knobs that stick out of the base where the lightbulb is screwed in. Turning the knob will either complete the circuit to turn on the lamp, or break the circuit to turn it off. We hope you find it flips your switch! - Sara

Q: My lamp arrived today and I like it a bunch but have no clue as to how I'm supposed to get two light settings out of it. I have off and on --but not lower light and very high light. Help!

I was so excited to add this lamp to my office, but upon opening the box I found that it was packaged so tightly that the shade was completely crushed, nearly flattened. Now I have to make a one hour trip to return it. Not happy!

Got this lamp at a great sale price! As others have shown, the steel threading stick out of one of the tubes is crooked and stops the tubes from aligning when you screw them together, leading to the lamp standing crooked. I took a hammer to the steel threading to straighten it out, and with a few taps it was fixed! Great lamp other than that issue, and fully worth it for the price.

This lamp is very flimsy and looks bad assembled. I also paid almost twice what it shows online to buy it in store which makes the cheap quality feel that much worse. I bought it to replace a ten dollar lamp from IKEA that was of a much higher quality Han this one. Do not buy!

This didn't even last a year. The shade attachment broke really easily and the light bulb socket actually fell out so the lightbulb is hanging out of the mount.

It’s very pretty and fits my space perfectly. I gave it 4 stars because it’s most certainly NOT oil rubbed bronze it’s black (all my other fixtures are oil rubbed bronze). Which is okay & works in my space would recommend updating the listing so as not to mislead customers.

I got this at a good discount, so for what I paid, it ended up being a fantastic value. Lamp shipped well and was quick and easy to assemble. It's very cute and has a high quality, classic look. The base is a little unsteady, but that's my only complaint. We have it tucked between sofa and end table so in our case it doesn't get bumped. Price is a little high, but if you grab it on sale it's really a great floor lamp. One of the better Threshold options currently available.

What a GREAT find !!!!! I had been searching for a lamp with all the bells and whistles. This is it. Easy ordering, pickup and assembly. Packed well and easy package access. Directions were clear, but were not needed as it was fairly intuitive. Lamp is a lovely bronze color. It has a solid base with a swing arm. The (3 way) switch is at the top, near the top of the shade. There is a neutral light beige shade. It looks great and works well with a grey color room. The linen finish (texture) has slightly darker lines to enhance the look of the shade. The shade comes fully assembled. It does not need to be wrapped around the frame, as with similar mail order lamps. Shade can be angled down or out to give maximum lighting. The lamp is a 3-way lamp. This offers lighting bright enough to read or dim to set to a more chill mode. Excellent find for the price.

Love the lamp overall but there are a few quirks that I believe would have made it a better and more functional lamp. First, being the off and on switch. If it had been placed somewhere on the pole it would be much more convenient and practical. Secondly, it’s oddly short for a floor lamp. I have it next to my recliner which has an average height and the lamp shade is awkward close in height. And I’m not tall. Thirdly, this may actually be my (independently purchased) bulb but the light options are bright, brighter, and very bright. I love the concept of this lamp design, but I really wish the off/on switch was better placed. I have to get up just to adjust brightness or turn off. It almost makes me dislike it despite my love for the design. It’s quite annoying that it’s at the top of the lamp, and above the shade.
