    Sideswipe

    He is probably the most simple transformer that I have in my collection of mainline. He is so easy to switch back-and-forth from robots to car mode. The only downside that this toy has is that he has the wrong head. His ears are supposed to be longer, but they somehow Messed it up and gave him the wrong head.

    Hair trapped under paint

    I was really looking forward to this figure, but the quality control was a huge letdown. Right out of the box, I noticed something strange near the front headlights — turns out, there’s a strand of hair literally trapped under the silver paint. You can actually see it sealed beneath the surface like it was painted over at the factory. It’s not something you can just wipe off, and it completely ruins the look of the vehicle mode. For the price these figures go for, that kind of sloppy production is unacceptable. I’ve collected Transformers for years, and I’ve never seen anything like this before. The figure itself might have been fine otherwise, but once you notice that hair under the paint, it’s impossible to ignore. Definitely not what I expect from Hasbro’s quality standards.
