A: No it only a heat protector when used with bonding oil. Marketing is misleading.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tresemme smoothing cream has a nice texture. It's not thick like pomade or clay. There pump dispenser is dou convenient! It goes in my hair really easily and has a nice casual look it's not overly stiff like mousse, but it was a little hard to wash out of my hair, still I think it's great for that casual look. It also smells great. Maybe it's something l'll use on weekends when I have a little more time.

This works well to leave my hair tamed, smooth and soft. It can be added to damp or dry hair. I found the results worked best for me when I added it when my hair was not damp or fully dry but almost dry. I also like the way it dispenses. Just push down on the pump and it dispenses out of the top. I use about 3 pumps from the middle to the ends due to the length of my hair. Overall I love this smoothing cream and will be getting more! Thank you!

I live in hot and humid South Florida and this stuff works great on my fine hair and on my daughter's curly hair. I have tried using it on both wet and dry hair and prefer to use it on my dry hair. It allows me to wear my hair down during these summer months. This is going to be my new holy grail. I am totally shocked by how awesome this is. This is lightly scented and I can't place the smell, but I enjoy it. I am not a fan of the applicator from the bottle, but it works fine - I just think it is wasteful a bit. Overall, I'm keeping this one as a daily use product.

The product came in a unique short pump container, which I love. You just push down the top and he product comes up the center. This is unique and different. You can feel the product in my hair once dried, but it looked natural and not clumpy or greasy. I have natural curly hair and it has a mind of its own, so I was hoping it would hold better. But, I think this product has a great chance of working for me with the write type of styling.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the TRESemme Smoothing Cream free of charge, in return for my honest and unbiased review. The cream comes in a black and gold plastic jar with a lid. What I loved about this is that you do not have to stick your fingers into the product. It has a jar sized push pump, that brings up a certain amount of smoothing cream at a time, keeping the remaining cream uncontaminated. This smoothing cream smells very good. It doesn't leave any white residue, or flake, and it is not sticky. I have naturally curly, drier hair, so I needed a few more pumps of the cream than normal smooth, straight hair might need. When I first put it in my hair, it seemed like it would do a great job, but either my hair texture was too much for it or it failed due to the Georgia humidity. I ended up having to mix it with another cream product, and/or with hairspray. I really had high hopes for this smoothing cream. My hair soon frizzed and I had to, like I said previously, add another product to my hair to get it to be smooth. I would recommend it to people with softer, or straighter more moisturized hair, but it did not work for my hair, unfortunately. But, all is not lost, it helped our little guys hair to lay down. If TRESemme makes a smoothing cream with holding power, I would definitely give it a try, because the scent and the convenience of the pump would be really nice to have.
