Q: Image shows curved cutting edge, and Directions say: "Nails should always be cut straight across to help prevent painful ingrown toe nails." Do these cut straight across?
A: Thank you for your question! You're absolutely right to notice the curved edge of the toenail clippers and wonder how that aligns with the recommendation to cut nails straight across. The key difference lies in how you use the clippers rather than the shape of the blade itself. While these clippers do have a curved cutting edge, they can still be used to cut toenails straight across. It’s all about the technique—you can make a series of small, straight cuts across the nail rather than following the curve of the blade in one motion. Cutting toenails straight across is recommended to help prevent ingrown toenails, and using curved-edge clippers carefully and intentionally allows you to follow that guidance while still enjoying the control and comfort that the curved design can offer. If you prefer an easier guide to making perfectly straight cuts, some customers opt for straight-edge clippers instead. But either type can be used effectively with proper technique.

Q: I do not believe these clippers are almost 2.5 inches wide, unless they're for use trimming elephant toenails...and frankly, the dimensions of the packaging are not useful. Clipper length?
A: Hello, Thank you for your question. The clippers themselves measure approximately 3.18 inches in length, and 0.63 inches in width. I hope that helps to clear up any confusion.
