Purchaseed a new laptop without a ethernet port, got tis to help support production machine programming. Its easy to set up and get started and quick communication. Would highly recommend it for needs to connect to RJ45 ports.

Needed an adapter for my laptop (no Ethernet port) and so far, so good! I haven't used it yet for work but using it for just regular internet right now, and it's working fine. Connected right away.

The ethernet to usb cable is a useful dongle. I mainly use it to dialog with my robot plc through my computer. Very good product, however, the dongle could be more compact. Though I've noticed a little overheat when plugged in too long. Nonetheless, it's a very good product.

This device does exactly what it says, as long as you can get it installed properly. When I plugged it into my USB port, the network adapter drivers did not install automatically as described. After spending nearly 30 minutes on the phone with tech support, it was a co-worker of mine who found out that the device acts as a flash memory device (under the guise of a USB CD-ROM drive) that stores additional drivers. Tripp Lite tech support did not even know about this process! That is why I deducted 2 stars.
