Very poorly made. Thin metal that can cut skin. Fabric on seats pills after short while. Looks ok but not well constructed. Have had 4 chairs for 5 months and am very disappointed.

uncomfortable and wobbly
I was hoping to give these a 5 star review,these chairs look nice,but that is where my likes end. First of all, they didn't align when assembling the chairs, and no matter how hard we tried, the washers didnt fit and because they were so poorly made,we couldn't use them. So, these chairs had to manually be tightened about every other day. I now have superglued the screws and we'll see if that takes. Secondly, the seat is very very uncomfortable. The seat is so rounded that you get tired of seating besides very small that it also adds to the discomfort. None of the kids like sitting there!
I would have returned them, but the window closed.

Holes not aligned, metal shards in the grey fabric
I wanted to love these stools but I have to return them. I bought 4 of them. The first one was easy to put together but there were metal shards in the fabric of the seat - lots of them. You can tell they are from when the holes were drilled in the metal parts of the stool. After working out as much of the metal as we could, I attempted to build chairs 2 and 3 but I could not get the legs to align with the holes in the seat. There are 3 screws per leg and I could only get 2 of the 3 screws in place and the third one was always misaligned. I tried many combinations of legs and screws and positions but could not get the chairs put together. Also the seats had the metal shards in them again. I'm disappointed in the quality and the fact that I have to start my search again for counter stools.

Good looking, rugged counter swivel chairs!
The chairs were the correct size and look great. Other reviewers stated that the welding was rough in places, and it was but it doesn't affect the overall appearance. I found you need to put all of the screws on loosely then set on a flat surface and tighten up and then the chair sat level. Also, the instruction mix up the bolts to be used; long ones to attach the ring foot rest and the short ones for attaching the leg and attaching the back rest using the washers and lock washers. Over all, they are great chairs!

I was pleasantly surprised at the chairs! They are a real value for the money. They were easy to put together. I followed another review and put the foot ring and legs together first. I also hand tightened everything until it was assembled and went back to tighten when completed. They are very comfortable, sturdy and the swivel is tight but smooth. They are a perfect fit for the small bar/counter area in my kitchen. The metal work on the chair back is just enough to add interest but not block the sight line. I would definitely recommend these chairs. :-)

These Tristan Metal Counter Stools look nice and are surprisingly comfortable to sit on. I ordered brown, and the cushions look just like the picture. Fabric looks like it would be coarse but is not unpleasant to touch. The metal is satin black. The swivel is fairly stiff and not really smooth, but does the job. Our counter is 35.5 inches, and these chairs are the perfect height (24.5"). The first one took a long time to put together. For the next one I put the little wrench aside and used hand-tightening only until the end. Attaching the foot support ring to the legs first made assembly much faster. You do really have to tighten each screw a little bit and keep going around, otherwise it doesn't align.

Putting Hebdon chairs together was a bit of a challenge because the welding of the back was a bit misaligned, but once I worked it into place they looked beautiful. Be sure to check the height of the chair and the height of your counter, because these are shorter. They look beautiful in our new kitchen, though

Had to return the pair of chairs to the local Target for a refund because of the low quality welds of the metal backrest. They were very rough with gaps, not sanded to a smooth finish, and misaligned. The Customer Service counter was great to use with in and out in 5 minutes, no questions asked.

Super disappointed in these. They are SO short, a grown adult would almost be sitting on the ground. I don't understand how these are considered "counter height." AND, I ordered brown and when they came in the seats look grey. Sending them right back!!!!
