Both ear buds must be paired with each other the first time out of the case, before being paired with your phone or other bluetooth enabled device. Both earbuds should be removed from the case and allowed to pair to each other before being placed in your ears. The two earbuds have paired when the light on the right earbud turns off and the left earbud flashes red and blue. At this point the earbuds should be placed in your ears and paired on the Bluetooth screen of your phone, they will be called "Heyday Earbud 11".
