Q: What is the difference between these and the Recon 70s?

  • A: The Recon 70 is a wired analog headset with a rotatable microphone boom. That headset would not require any charging. The Recon 200 GEN 2 headsets are wired, powered headsets with a rotatable microphone boom. This means that the headset is equipped with an internal battery and has additional features like microphone monitoring that is built in to the headset itself. The headset can also be used as an analog headset when its power has been depleted.

Literally the worst headset ever created. I have never used such a bad headset. It echoes, turns you robotic, and anything else terrible with a headset you can think of, this headset has. Please avoid this terrible headset at all costs.

They work...they're not as loud as I would like for them to be. I have the settings all the way up on my console and on the headset. I had another person listen too just to make sure it wasn't me... If you don't want to spend much money I would recommend them. I might bring them back.

Mic problems

started having mic issues about 2 weeks after i bought them ! i liked at all in game and console settings, turns out its whenever something needs an update whether it is ; the controller, console, or game the mic won’t work suddenly … it’s so annoying i’m not sure if this happens with any other headset or just this one ..

Fundamentally Malfunctional

This headset does not work on all PCs as claimed by Turtle Beach. I reached out to Turtle Beach's support team, who believed that a replacement item of the same model would resolve the issue. It did not; their idea is to send me a third copy of this same headset. Comical. Because of their wasting my time, I can no longer return the item to Target. Stay away.

Broken

I bought this headset brand new in-store a few months ago, and now that I bought a new headset, I thought I'd review this one. I haven't had a problem with Turtle Beach before, but I brought this one home and the audio was completely static-y. In order to hear anything I had to balance the switch in the middle between the PC and XBox option on the ear. Also, anytime I joined someone's party they mentioned that my headset was echoing and I kept on cutting out on their end. Maybe I just got a faulty one... but who knows

Headseat quality

I use to own the black pair until my dog chewed the cord, I figured I was getting a uprade getting this one being it's suppose to be newer. my volume is at the max it will go and I can barely hear people talking and the game audio is terrible. it sounds like it's on low when the volume is all the way up. disappointed.

Great for light gaming

Bought these for PS4 gaming so I could chat while playing, and am really happy with them. It's easy to adjust the microphone levels along with the outside noise levels and headset levels, and they've been very reliable. Easy and quick to charge, the battery life also has held up, and sound quality overall is great. Only complaint would be the comfort on the top of my head, because sometimes it puts weird pressure if I don't adjust them more often, but overall, they've been great for what I need them for.
