Q: Does this connect to the newest XBOX One controller? Will you need a audio connector to hear/listen to other people on the headset?
A: It does not work for an xbox 360, but it does on my one s.

A: yes it works [also works for pc, mac, macbook, macbook pro, ps3, ps4, xbox (with extra parts), xbox 360 (with extra parts), xbox one, xbox one s, and xbox one x].

Q: Does the Recon 50X work for PS4? I bought for color difference, but want to confirm they are compatible. I'm giving them as a gift and do find all indication of compatibility, observing that the X or P are more for brand than actually difference.

Q: Did this mic come with the trapezoid adapter for xbox one controllers or just the head phone jack?
A: This would only come with the headset itself. If your controller is not equipped with a headset jack, you'd need an additional adapter known as the Headset Audio Controller.
