Q: Does it really need a box spring? It looks like it has slats like the other pillowfort beds
A: The picture in the listing with the mattress doesn't show a box spring

Q: What is recommended mattress height?
A: I have an 11” twin mattress on ours and it fits perfectly fine- still has foot bed rail above the mattress and plenty of headboard- I posted pictures and review in the listing.

Q: Why does the white color require a box spring but the black and pine color do not? It is the same exact bed frame just different colors?

Q: What is the maximum weight limit of this bed?
A: I can’t find this anywhere- not even in the build instructions. But I will say it is solid wood and I am 220 and I feel comfortable when I am on it.
